   I think the better move is adding Hinske to the Yankees roster so he can repeat striking out against a nasty Lidge slider…

   But hopefully not hit a home run off of Blanton.
   I like Myers being added. He was clutch last year and has a mean streak to him that I think will help us gain the mental again against NY.

   Reports are that he his breaking ball has its bite back… if he is on the mend, this is a huge addition.

   I’ve got it. Myers was brought on to pinch hit in hopes he can work another 9-pitch walk against CC.

   Actually, I’m pretty surprised by this move. I didn’t think the Phils would give up another bat (OK, it’s Cairo, but you get my point) with the DH in play, possibly in four games. Hopefully Myers will do something to earn his keep — and maybe his wife will actually kiss him this time.

    They’re showing one of our May games against the Yankees right now on MLB Network. CC pitching… Shane just got a single in the top of the 8th.

    The fact that they added an experienced pitcher like Myers to the pen, and also left Bastardo on the roster… COULD mean that Charlie may be thinking seriously about starting Happ in Game 4.

    I hope Bruntlett being selected over Miguel Cairo is the best choice. I understand Bruntlett being selected because of his versatility on defense but Cairo is capably better offensively. Bako stays on because of being the backup catcher. I have a feeling that Myers will come up big at least once in the series.
