NLCS Gameday: Dodgers at Phillies, Game 3
Posted by Amanda Orr, Sun, October 18, 2009 07:30 PM
Los Angeles Dodgers (1-1) at Philadelphia Phillies (1-1)
Hiroki Kuroda, RHP vs. Cliff Lee, LHP
Time: 8:07 p.m at Dodger Stadium
Weather: 70% chance of rain, 37
TV: TBS
Twitter: Phillies Nation
The National League Championship Series moves to Philadelphia after the Phillies and Dodgers split the first two games. The first game featured home runs from Carlos Ruiz and Raul Ibanez. Despite a stellar performance by Pedro Martinez, the Phillies blew a 1-0 lead thanks to a throwing error by Chase Utley. After an off day, the series returns with Hiroki Kuroda and Cliff Lee on the mound.
From one extreme to another, weather will be a factor. The weather was beautiful in Los Angeles; 93 degrees and sunny. It’ll be the complete opposite in Philly: cold and rainy. The frigid temperatures didn’t seem to bother Lee in game four of the division series. “I think that affects the hitter more than the pitcher,” Lee said.
Lee has been streaky since joining the Phillies. He went a perfect 5-0 with an ERA under one in his first five starts, but scuffled towards the end of the year posting an ERA over six. Right now, he’s in a hot streak. In 16.1 innings during the NLDS, Lee allowed only two earned runs. Lee’s only start against the Dodgers came in his Cy Young year. He pitched seven shutout innings before exiting after allowing a one-run single.
Lee has benefited from the hometown crowd, posting a 2.52 ERA at Citizens Bank Park. However, Lee will have to watch out for Manny Ramirez. Ramirez is 6-for-14 (.429) with two home runs against the lefty.
Kuroda will make his second postseason start against the Phillies, with the last coming in 2008’s NLCS. Kuroda will forever be known as the pitcher who threw at Shane Victorino’s head, but also leading the Dodgers to their lone NLCS victory that year. He pitched six innings allowing two runs in 08’s NLCS, but that is only a small portion of his success against the Phillies. In three starts, Kuroda is 1-0 with a 0.95 ERA, 0.58 WHIP and .100 BAA against the Phillies in his career. He has struck out 17 Phillies in 19 innings.
Kuroda tossed six shutout innings against the Phillies earlier this year, but there is uncertainty surrounding this start. Kuroda will be pitching for the first time in over three weeks due to a herniated disk in his neck. Kuroda also suffered an oblique injury and was hit in the head with a line drive this season.
While Manny is always a threat for the Dodgers, Ruiz has been the biggest threat this postseason. Ruiz is 7-for-18 (.389) with a home run, six RBI, and a stolen base during the 2009 playoffs.
“I’ve got all the faith in the world in our team. It’s going to be a good series, guys. This series by no means is over. It’s going to be a tough series,” Charlie Manuel said.
Break out the rally towels. Home-field advantage starts now.
Tonight’s Lineup: Rollins (SS), Victorino (CF), Utley (2B), Howard (1B), Werth (RF), Ibanez (LF), Feliz (3B), Ruiz (C), Lee (P).
Your Gameday Beer – Franziskaner
Why Franziskaner? Because I’m drinking one right now. And my mom likes it, and she hates beer, so it’s that good. Brewed in Munich, it’s not too heavy and not too light, and gives off a nice wheat flavor. Enjoy with a pork tenderloin and celebrate a Phillies victory. – By Pat

October 18th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
This weather must just feel like a slap in the face to anyone accustomed to LA temperatures.
October 18th, 2009 at 7:51 pm
Alright 17 minutes till first pitch by Lee. The woeful eagles couldn’t score against the raiders (not an eagles fan, but nothing to watch on tv) hopefully phils can. Go Phillies!!!
October 18th, 2009 at 7:52 pm
Prediction: Phils score more than the Pigeons did today.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:01 pm
Gotta get to Kuroda early!! Go Phillies!!!
October 18th, 2009 at 8:02 pm
aww the anti eagles sentiment sucks in here, hope there aren’t any cowboys fans in here
October 18th, 2009 at 8:03 pm
I hate these TBS guys. They are all about L.A.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:11 pm
Ray, cowboy fans are almost as bad as Yankees fans.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:11 pm
Yeah, but TBS made Philly look good pre-game.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:11 pm

October 18th, 2009 at 8:15 pm

October 18th, 2009 at 8:16 pm
justin – yeah cool weather might be a slap in the face but it’s a sinkerballer’s best friend.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:17 pm
I dislike the Eagles this year, actually only the owner, because they signed Vick but I would never root for the Cowgals.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:19 pm
Let get it going early. last 2 games were painful.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:19 pm
Remember Pearl Harbor and the Kamakazi pitch to your head Victorino!
October 18th, 2009 at 8:19 pm
i can’t stand vick or joe banner but it would take a lot for me to not like the eagles, vick is a non factor and should be off the team by next year i hope…he’s a has been or never was
October 18th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
WOO HOO!!! Victorino gets the first hit of the game!!!
October 18th, 2009 at 8:23 pm
Win this one for Tracey so she can party after game 5.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:24 pm

October 18th, 2009 at 8:28 pm

October 18th, 2009 at 8:29 pm
howardddddddddddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!! i guess andrew is at his friend’s telling him how every team has a power hitting first baseman like howard
October 18th, 2009 at 8:30 pm
and andrew is always keeping tabs on madson, rollins, utley to see if the phillies are throwing games
October 18th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
Nagaksi
October 18th, 2009 at 8:31 pm
Oh baby! HOME RUN JAYSON WERTH!!!! Look at that bell ring!!!
October 18th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
WERTH WHILE!
October 18th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
So glad I am listening to the local radio broadcast. I’ll bet the TBS guys are very blah about this. LA and Franzke are having fun.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
The kid from Christmas Story is warming up. Suck it LA
October 18th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
LA says the Phils just need a double to hit for the cycle in this inning.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:34 pm
I cant here it here Tracey, we and the fans are drowning them out
October 18th, 2009 at 8:34 pm
the announcer was all over that home run call…it’s a matter of letting the crowd control your emotions….. it’s unprofessional but these guys are doing it…..the fans get too caught up with the announcers
October 18th, 2009 at 8:35 pm
WOO HOO!!! I’ll take a 4-run first.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:37 pm
tracey I didn’t see your post when I posted mine…..the announcer was anything but blah on that home run call
October 18th, 2009 at 8:37 pm
It’s unprofessional for the announcers to be excited? Dude, I grew up in the Howard Cosell era; I’ll take unprofessional any day.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:38 pm
Shut em down, Cliff
October 18th, 2009 at 8:38 pm
Love the first inning score.
Figures the offense would not do anything against a scrub, but then come back with this against someone who pitches decently.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:39 pm
I’m surprised the fans aren’t giving Manny the “steroids” chant they gave Giambi last week.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:40 pm
Let’s hear a chant of STER ROIDS STER ROIDS
October 18th, 2009 at 8:43 pm
27 outs is the Dodgers mantra? I thought it was just a fact of the game that there were 27 outs. For a place that houses Hollywood I would have expected some more creativity…or would I?
October 18th, 2009 at 8:44 pm
tracey you didn’t understand my post….these announcers reactions have been dictated by the crowds hence the crying about the announcers being unfair to our team
cosell era? when the announcers used to pass out drunk in the booth? lol
October 18th, 2009 at 8:45 pm
nice throw howard!!! nice call announcers, he called the play smooth as silk….loving the announcers reactions tonight..lol
October 18th, 2009 at 8:46 pm
DP! WHEE!!! 6 up, 6 down, 29 pitches.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:46 pm
That’s the way to throw the ball, Ryan
October 18th, 2009 at 8:48 pm
I know we cant look back but how great would it be to be up 2-0 and now winning in this game. Sweep might have happen. Lets just win these three.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:48 pm
i guarantee you that utley can’t wait to get his first fielding play out of the way
October 18th, 2009 at 8:49 pm
Choooooooch
October 18th, 2009 at 8:49 pm
And the Phillies have now hit for the cycle in 8 batters.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:50 pm
nice bunt
October 18th, 2009 at 8:51 pm
That’ll do. And radio says Dodgers are already warming up a reliever.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:52 pm
patience rollins you must learn patience
October 18th, 2009 at 8:53 pm
Tracey, if that’s what you want to call him. They are warming up Billingsley
October 18th, 2009 at 8:54 pm
HAHAHAHaHAHA!!
October 18th, 2009 at 8:54 pm
Sayanarah mutha fuggah
October 18th, 2009 at 8:54 pm
Peace out, Kuroda!!!
October 18th, 2009 at 8:55 pm
Phinally Mr. Rollins
October 18th, 2009 at 8:55 pm
If anyone’s thirsty, there is a late beer up now on the gameday if you refresh.
Other than that, I’m happy right now. All is well in Phillies Nation, as of now.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:55 pm
I disagree with GWFightinsFan, I wish they would keep him in there, I was really starting to like Kuroda. LOL.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:57 pm
So, has Chase been kicked off the team yet?
Or better yet, we could let him take Stairs’ job.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:58 pm
okay, keep the hubris on the DL….the Baseball Gods are meanies
October 18th, 2009 at 8:58 pm
Several ahead of you Pat. Drinking a few Dundee Oktoberfest Pumpkin Spice. Cheers.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:59 pm
This is a GREAT start, but lets NOT sleep on this Dodgers team.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:59 pm
j reed, does nagasaki count as hubris? hahaa
October 18th, 2009 at 8:59 pm
Whee! Another base runner.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:00 pm
Can Chase Utley redeem himself, or will he continue his current less than stellar ways.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:01 pm
What an absolutely perfect sports day this has been.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:01 pm
joe torre is scrambling…lol
October 18th, 2009 at 9:01 pm
Dave, he was traded for Bobby Jenks, I think
October 18th, 2009 at 9:02 pm
Ruiz probably would have had that. LOL.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:02 pm
Well apparently the team, like their fans is are a fair weather team. So sorry its not sunny and 93.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:03 pm
So what happened to Billingsly this year, did he get injured or just lost it towards the end?
October 18th, 2009 at 9:04 pm
Um, anything but a DP I can accept.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:04 pm
got the rbi nice job howard
October 18th, 2009 at 9:04 pm
Mr. October
October 18th, 2009 at 9:05 pm
thats just fine with me!!!
October 18th, 2009 at 9:05 pm
I appreciate the RBI, Big Brown but a little more patience there with the bases loaded and a guy who has no control probably would have been the best course of action. After all, if that was Feliz we would be flipping out.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:06 pm
Three pitchers before the end of the 2nd? Phan-o-Vision is going to run out of goof graphics!
October 18th, 2009 at 9:06 pm
Billingley sucked the 2nd half of the year. No injuries, just ineffective.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:08 pm
It is kinda nice to breathe just a little bit.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:08 pm
Howard might be Mr October, but honestly Werth hasnt really been a complete slouch either. Too bad that was foul, that would have been BEAUTIFUL. Oh well.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:10 pm
And just as I say that he swings at that crap. LOL.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:10 pm
there is no breathing until its all over hotdogs. Remember, the Dodgers play 27 outs….
October 18th, 2009 at 9:11 pm
Thanks joedad…suprised the Dodgers, who are typically deemed a pitching club couldn’t right the ship.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:12 pm
I like your call on the Dundee, joedad…I’m putting away some Honey Browns myself. Not much of a fan of the Octoberfest beers myself. So I go will ole reliable.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:12 pm
Good. I don’t want anyone who makes errors on back-to-back games on my team. It means that he’ll never be ever to throw to first again.
2 errors= doomed for life
October 18th, 2009 at 9:13 pm
Keith hernandez!!!!!! I LOATHE keith hernandez
October 18th, 2009 at 9:13 pm
Ed R is correct, NEVER slouch on this lineup! VERY nice Clifford.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:14 pm
*able to throw.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:15 pm
This Ump’s strike zone seems wierd. Doesnt seem consistant. Anyone else notice that?
October 18th, 2009 at 9:15 pm
geez tracey turn off your radio these announcers are heaping big time praise on the phillies now…i’m not being sarcastic they really are showing love….actually i love the phillies announcers so i wouldn’t say turn them off just letting you know
October 18th, 2009 at 9:16 pm
Ed R…..don’t I know it! I just kinda eeked out a little breath. I know that unless there is a 1000+ run cushion, anything is possible!!!
October 18th, 2009 at 9:16 pm
I LOVE THIS TEAM!
Always bouncing back! Lets get some more runs!
October 18th, 2009 at 9:17 pm
After the postseason we’ve seen, I would think it noteworthy only if the ump’s strike zone was normal.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:19 pm
who is the ump tonight?
October 18th, 2009 at 9:20 pm
i want to say if the phils are cruising late, and i mean it would have to be even bigger than this 6 run lead….anyways if that’s the case i don’t want to see lee throwing well over 100 pitches…he’s thrown a lot this year and pitching complete game gems in the playoffs is not the goal when you are blowing a team out, it’s saving this guy for other games that are big down the line….i’m thinking way ahead but i’m just saying…and i really do mean if they have a huge lead…by the way we are a field goal away from tying the eagles today…lol
October 18th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
I wonder if today is the day Billingsley decides to turn it on again? LOL
October 18th, 2009 at 9:24 pm
I’ll take 1-2-3 innings, as long as they’re on both sides. I’ve got to go to work tomorrow, and this is looking like a long night…
October 18th, 2009 at 9:26 pm
Good thing Billz looks good tonight. Maybe you shoulda started him instead of a guy with a herniated disc in his neck Joe…dammit. Final score prediction: Phillies 9, Dodgers 2. 9 Smithwicks in my belly. We’ll get you guys tomorrow though!
October 18th, 2009 at 9:28 pm
OK, now that we have mentioned Smithwicks, lets go for a little poll here. Is Smithwicks pronounced…
A. Smith Wicks
or
B. Smiticks
October 18th, 2009 at 9:29 pm
I’m calling for 6-1 tonight. Not sure why. I thought I saw 6-1 on the screen when it was 5-0, so I’ve decided I was seeing the final score.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:29 pm
I’ve definitely seen too many commercials for The Men Who Stare at Goats.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:31 pm
B. Smiticks is how my buddies in “LaLa Land” call it.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:32 pm
here’s some answer for you brian…lol..i looked it up
I have been told by a bartender friend that when someone orders a “Smithwicks” they do not serve them due to the wrong pronunciation….Usually another customer has to “clue them in” on the pronunciation before this beer is served!
It is pronounced “Smiddicks”, at least in the bars in the Midwest.
Yeah, the “w” doesn’t get pronounced.
It’s pretty good; very good for the price. Mix it half and half with Guiness for a change.
It is pronounced smit-icks, and yes outstanding brew!
October 18th, 2009 at 9:32 pm
newman Says:
October 18th, 2009 at 9:13 pm
Keith hernandez!!!!!! I LOATHE keith hernandez
NICE
October 18th, 2009 at 9:33 pm
Thats what I have heard more of, even in the Philly area especially (McFaddens also), but my Cousin hates it being pronounced that way…LOL. Im was just curious what the majority on here thinks.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:34 pm
It’s Smitwicks as far as I have ever heard it.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:34 pm
if this was softball all the dodgers would be saying hit the ball to utley..lol
October 18th, 2009 at 9:34 pm
OK Utley, got the first throw out of the way. eeek
October 18th, 2009 at 9:34 pm
Four innings, 12 Dodgers ABs… that’s amazing.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:34 pm
wow utley nearly blew that one too..
October 18th, 2009 at 9:35 pm
Smit-icks Smiddicks, close enough. I agree that it is NOT Smith Wicks. LOL
October 18th, 2009 at 9:36 pm
Ed R. it might depend on the bar. LOL. I ordered a Smith Wicks at McFaddens, and the bartender corrected me. LOL.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:37 pm
Ok guys, we got a game with the Dodgers tonight! And that only means one thing. Bad news for the Dodgers!
October 18th, 2009 at 9:37 pm
Well that was at least good contact for clifford.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:38 pm
Anyone had Bud Light’s Golden Wheat? Is it any good? I heard it was pretty weak.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:38 pm
Either way you pronounce it, Smithwicks aint worth the money. That, heiniken and Harp are three of the most overrated beers out there.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
The Bud Light wheat is like Bud Light but with less aftertaste, if that is even possible.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:41 pm
did anyone see the Eagles game today? I didn’t get a chance, but I saw they lost. Stats look bad. Was it really as bad as it looks?
October 18th, 2009 at 9:41 pm
I think we really need to score some more runs on this guy. Not because Im seriously afraid of this game (still dont slouch on this lineup) but more because I would like to see the Dodgers use a few more guys from the bullpen.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:41 pm
morris i never say anything that is food or beer isn’t worth the money. if someone likes it they pay for it..lol…i hate seafood and for me, it’s not worth the money, for other people it is….lol
October 18th, 2009 at 9:41 pm
Shane Victorino: Humanitarian of the year.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:42 pm
where ya been coach? we started the game over an hour and a half ago
October 18th, 2009 at 9:43 pm
I am not gonna lie, the bartenders at McFaddens get on my nerves, they act like because they get all kinds of hype, that they are better than they really are. Specifically McFaddens at CBP. The one on 3rd street isn’t that bad. If I have to go to McFadden’s it will be the one on 3rd street.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:43 pm
I watched about 5 minutes of the Eagles. I have seen monkey poop fights at the zoo more organized than that mess.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:43 pm
Sam, for once I am saying thankfully it wasnt on national TV. It was pretty pathetic. So far it looks like the Phillies are NOT following in their footsteps. I disagree with Morris Buttermaker though, I think Smithwicks is definately worth the money.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:44 pm
The Eagles game was UGLY.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:45 pm
@Morris: Yeah, I would say, as Monty Python does, that Heinekin is like making love in a canoe.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:46 pm
It’s funny that for years people dissed on Charlie for being a bad manager, while at the same time praising Reid for his “success over the last ten years”. Yet Charlie has managed to do more than Reid has, in way less time. Plus, Charlie actually looks like he knows what he’s doing (occasional pitching switches or non-switches that seem confusing notwithstanding).
October 18th, 2009 at 9:46 pm
That was beyond UGLY, it was downright EMBARASSING. The only think more embarassing is give two teams their first win of the season (one of them was the first win in 19 games. (Redskins)
October 18th, 2009 at 9:46 pm
sam the eagles scored 9 points..helen keller knew this game was bad ..lol
October 18th, 2009 at 9:47 pm
My feeling with beer right now is that if you live in or around Philly, you do not need to drink any beer that was not brewed within 60 miles of Philly. You can get some amazing beers at a good price around here. Also, whenever you buy PA beers, 60% of the money being exchanged goes to taxes. So you are not just buying beer, you are building schools, bridges and highways. Funding the arts too.
I’m good friends with one of the managers of the McFaddens at CBP. I can drink for free there if I want, and still try to avoid it.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:47 pm
O yea, and for fun I went back to ESPN’s site and looked at the series predictions…I want to know how anyone thought the DOdgers could win this series in 5…wanna bet if it’s Yankees-Phils everyone will have Yankees in 4 or 5?
October 18th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
sam a lot of people have ripped into reid over the years he’s far from immune from it and deservedly so
October 18th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
The Eagles game was a disgrace. I could write a 1000 word rant on why they lose but I’ll sum it up in 5 bullet points.
1. Didn’t establish the run. 14 runs to 46 passes while averaging 4.8 yards a carry.
2. O-line looked like they didn’t know they were supposed to block once McNabb called hike.
3. McNabb continues to under throw and over throw guys who are wide open.
4. Everyone dropped passes that hit them in the numbers.
5. They can’t tackle. Their whole secondary acts like if you just try and hit the guy as hard as you can then the guy will fall down and thus make no attempt to wrap anyone up.
Other than that, it was a fantastic game.
While we are on the topic of over rated beers…Miller Lite is absolute garbage and Bud Light blows. I do however like Bud Select a lot.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
Sam, maybe I am one of the few, but Ive never really “praised” Reid. Obviously he has had quite a bit of success getting to the NFC Championship game, and super bowl once, but I think he play calling in HUGE games is VERY questionable.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:49 pm
king dunlap couldn’t block stephen hawkin
October 18th, 2009 at 9:50 pm
Let Manny have his wittle baby singles. Such a big boy without those steroids, isnt he such a bigbiy? Yes he is a big biy, yesheis, good boy
October 18th, 2009 at 9:51 pm
the tackling was horrible, trotter showed why he hasn’t been in the league for 2 years….calling a timeout before the 2 minute warning with the raiders having a 3rd down giving them the option to pass?????????
one more thing because the phillies are really my prozac right now, how’s that money the team saved on brian dawkins working out for them?
October 18th, 2009 at 9:51 pm
no idea why anyone is talking about the eagles when a gem of a game like this is going on…
absolute class act by victorino giving that fan his bat, and great job of TBS actually acknowledging that it was happening.
lee is an absolute beast pounding that strike zone. just a joy to watch.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:51 pm
At about 5, I was all set to call a friend from DC and bust his chops about the Skins, but then I watched a few minutes of the Eagles and decided to hold off.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:51 pm
manny can be so friggin comical sometimes…lmao
October 18th, 2009 at 9:52 pm
Darn, Lee gave up a single in that inning.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:52 pm
boilermaker i was thinking the same thing when kansas city beat the skins…..lol
October 18th, 2009 at 9:53 pm
hahahaha, thats just wrong Ray.
Something is wrong when my heart skips a beat the second Utley has to throw the ball now…it’s so wrong I just can’t help it.
I am with Brian. I have always disliked Reid. He does the same stuff he did 10 years ago. He has failed to adjust while the rest of the league has. The Eagles were the only dominate team in a terrible NFC. I don’t like McNabb much either and I honestly think he could have won a ring on another team, a team better built for his talents. He is not a west coast style QB despite what Andy Reid will say.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:54 pm
@Morris Buttermaker, I 100% agree with you on that comment on local brews! The Philly area is very lucky with some of their local and regional Brews (Yuengling is one of my favorites that I can NOT get here in Colorado
) I try to drink only locals here in Colorado here as well. We have some decent ones, but I think the Philly area is better than here slightly.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:55 pm
I have no problem with McNabb all the time. My SERIOUS problem, is the playcalling! IDIOT. How can you have a team with this much talent, and have such a poorly called (and executed) game.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:56 pm
the phillies are cruising so we have to go the negative route this is philadelphia christopher!!!
October 18th, 2009 at 9:56 pm
haha even better coverage yet. well done TBS.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:57 pm
@christopher, I 100% agree with the comment about Vic. Pure class! He may look like an idiot on the basepaths sometimes, but still one of my favorites.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:59 pm
RIGHT ON RAY. I was waiting for the “negative” comment! LOL. We are Philadelphia fans damnit, its our god given right to be mean, and negative. LOL. JK.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:59 pm
back to the phillies kids…….they need to get a few more hits to really damage the bullpen…..let’s go phils!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:01 pm
Brian of Co…you have Blue Moon, what more could you ask for?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:01 pm
Thats what I was saying. I like 6 runs, but I would like to “damage” the bullpen a little bit!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:02 pm
First time Ibanez has gotten on base tonight.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:02 pm
WHEE!!! About time Feliz started hitting!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:02 pm
I am glad we are winning this game but it would make me feel better if we could score some more runs. I hate when we do all of our scoring in one inning….as I type this Feliz is sliding into third…so ok, forget that I just said this.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:02 pm
SWEET FIRST PITCH SWINGING BABY
October 18th, 2009 at 10:02 pm
the phillies have now scored a touchdown!!!! lol
October 18th, 2009 at 10:02 pm
FELIZ! the nose bandage pays off to change his luck!!!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:03 pm
Ed R, thats pretty good, but I prefer local not national stuff.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:03 pm
Yea, none of us have anything to say when the game is going this great. We can get on Raul’s case for his crap game so far. But then he just got a walk…
I like Yuengling a lot, and miss it so much when I travel around the country. It’s so great to be able to get a delicious beer for $2.50. And Victory, Sly Fox and Stoudt’s are making some really great beers. I highly recommend the Stoudt’s Gold. I just recently discovered it. It is splendid.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:03 pm
Billingsley was going to pitch a few innings regardless of how many runs he gave up. He is their white flag.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:04 pm
That’s score in 3 innings. And here comes another one!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:04 pm
Atta boy Chooch
October 18th, 2009 at 10:04 pm
Chooch-a-matic
October 18th, 2009 at 10:05 pm
can we save some of these runs for when clifford isnt pitching?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:05 pm
Ok, this is nice to see ladies and gentlemen. I would love to see this same attitude tomorrow and the Game 5! Especially tomorrow as my son will be born tomorrow! Lets go boys!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:05 pm
andrew says a lot of moronic things but he is a big ruiz backer, i’ll give him that
October 18th, 2009 at 10:05 pm
Well, that blows my prediction, but BlooBlood’s (9-2) is still in play
October 18th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
And HATES Ryan Howard and Jason Werth. LOL
October 18th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
why does pedro have the bandage?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
CONGRATS BRIAN OF CO.
He wil deff be born tomorrow or his due date is tomorrow?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:08 pm
Brian – Congratulations!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:08 pm
Just curious…would you pull Lee after 6 and maybe try and save his arm a bit? Because I absolutely would.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:09 pm
why does feliz have a bandage?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:10 pm
Thanks Stuart! Scheduled C-Section, so it is tomorrow. Trust me I have thought about asking to wait, but my wife would shoot me. LOL. So far, October hasnt been bad for my family! My B-Day is 21 Oct (Phillies won the WS in 1980 on 21 Oct. They won the WS last year. They are looking pretty good this year, so hopefully the rest of October works out well, and into early November!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:10 pm
Congrats Brian. Good luck tomorrow.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:11 pm
as much of an eagles fan i am, and i am big time, it’s great that the phillies have shoved it right up joe banner’s ass deep and hard by winning a championship and being so successful these last few years….he’s an arrogant jerk and his jealousy of the phillies burns in his stomach so hard he probably has an ulcer
October 18th, 2009 at 10:11 pm
I agree with Brian of CO and Ed R about Reid and his playcalling
and yes, I would like them to save some runs for Blanton. ALthough, Blanton has been good this season, and when called upon in the post-season still good. I have faith he can hold the Dodgers down. The trick IMO is not allowing this series to go to game 7 and use Lee again. They need to save him for the next round (if they get there)
October 18th, 2009 at 10:11 pm
The earliest Lee could pitch would be Friday. I would just keep him and let him finish off the game. No point in burning out any other arms.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:12 pm
I hate the Eagles but the Phillies might score more. LOL. Vick is just a waste. Why disrupt the offense to bring him in. My G men were destroyed today. Hopefully they will become humble. Watching Brady was like playing Madden 10 on PS3
October 18th, 2009 at 10:12 pm
Ok so how long do we keep Lee in for?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:12 pm
@Ed R, I dont think I would. 7th maybe, 6th no, but honestly it depends on his pitch count. I mean right now he is only at 78. I would let him in there to get through the 7th.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:12 pm
So nice to have an
Ace Ace Baby
October 18th, 2009 at 10:12 pm
Congratulations Brian. Hope you enjoy your last good night of sleep for 5 years.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:13 pm
ed r i would wait until after 7
brian don’t even think about asking her to wait…omg..lmao…you are a real diehard though i’ll give you that cole hamels could learn a thing or two from you
October 18th, 2009 at 10:15 pm
There is NO WAY that Charlie is taking the ball out of Lee’s hand while he has a shut-out going.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:15 pm
Congrats Brian! We have 6 and wish we could have more. Nothing better in life than to have a little one…or 6
October 18th, 2009 at 10:15 pm
ok we have to classify amaro with being being a genius….getting lee instead of halladay and saving a lot of our minor league guys…..sometimes being a genius involves a little luck too because could’ve he have really foreseen all this?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
For me, its not about saving Lee’s arm to throw him on short rest but rather, he is at a career high in innings…we saw what that has done to Hamels. If we expect at minimum one more start from Lee this series, if we make it to the next round, you have one or two more starts, I am thinking more long term and with this game being what it is…why not? Then again, they have to play tomorrow so why use the pen if you don’t have too?
Playing devils advocate I guess. Thank heaven there is a needless day off in between games 4 and 5.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:17 pm
jeez Joe…6 kids. Do you and the wife do anything but have children? When are you two going to have your own reality show?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:17 pm
I think Lee completes 8 innings. This game is terrific. (My negative comment is that I can’t believe Manny has two hits. Ugghh!) Ok now back to Woo Hoo!!! 8 zip!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:18 pm
Thanks Morris, funny you say that, because my 2 year old daughter was helping us get used to not sleeping last night. LOL. @ray, I should upload pictures of my basement on here. LOL. People think just because my name had “of CO” in it, I am not a realy Phan. Hmm. Well my sons room is Red White and Blue with a big Phillies fathead in the middle. I have the ‘08 World Champions onsie for him to come home in! My basement was kind of a hodge podge of Hunter Green for the Eagles, and Red white and Blue for the Phillies. How can any “patriot” (I mean patriot as a military member and not the New England Cheaters) not like the Phillies when they are Red, White and Blue!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:18 pm
i said that in an earlier post ed….he has pitched a lot you’re going to need him more obviously …i wish charlie would take him out after 7 but i’m not thinking he will
October 18th, 2009 at 10:18 pm
congrats to you and your wife Brian! Here’s to happy and healthy!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:19 pm
Ed R. – No way….let the stallion run. Blanton hasn’t started in a while…keep the bullpen as fresh as possible just in case Blanton is a little shaky…
October 18th, 2009 at 10:19 pm
You would think with all of the bad pitching in the MLB right now, the networks would push for less days off because more bad pitchers would be throwing and there would be more high scoring games.
But we all need the off days so that we can more Yankees games.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:20 pm
JoeDad— I think your prediction may come true. ( Phils score more then Birds.)
October 18th, 2009 at 10:21 pm
Brian – Congrats.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:21 pm
I would leave lee for 8 and give lidge the ball in the 9th. let him close this out and get more confidence.
Brian of CO: you decide on a name? Harry?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:22 pm
Tch, so close.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:22 pm
Panda Farts! almost
October 18th, 2009 at 10:22 pm
ray is correct about Amaro. I will say I was VERY harsh on Amaro BEFORE the season. Letting Pat the Bat go, seemed a little distant, just didnt seem right to me, but I was COMPLETELY wrong! Amaro has done a hell of a job. I remember alot of people were baching him because Ibanez was a lefty, and a lefty heavy lineup and everything. Ironically enough, the lefty heavy line-up just might be what has helped us or will help us a the remainder of the post season continues. Too bad for Utley, that would be one freakin way to get everyone to forget the bad games.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:23 pm
I think Lee stays as long as he’s keeping his count down. Like Charlie says….we play for today. We don;t think about yesterday or get ahead of ourselves about tomorrow. So for today, his job is to pitch as long as he can in a healthy manner.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:23 pm
joedad if you’re wife’s name did rhyme with six you could have a reality show called joedad and (wife’s name) plus six…lol…i couldn’t think of a woman’s name that rhymed with six though …now you’re name makes a lot of sense
October 18th, 2009 at 10:23 pm
Taking Lee out is total damned if you do, damned if you don’t. But the guy has given up 2 hits. And there is a possibility the Phillies are only play 2 more games over the 9 days.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:23 pm
congrats Brian.
Damn! Utley HR robbed by Kemp
October 18th, 2009 at 10:25 pm
@ stuart I suggest some names that came from the Phillies (except Chase because thats my nephews name), but she caught on and shot down every single one of them. So we settled on Brian Jr.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:26 pm
i was going to say if lee’s pitch count isn’t too high i would leave him in but he has logged a ton of innings this year and he did go into a slump after dominating when he came over here
October 18th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
Morris Buttermaker I think you jinxed Lee, LOL. Just as you said 2 hits, he gives up the third hit. LOL
October 18th, 2009 at 10:29 pm
I’m almost hoping that the Dodgers score 1 so that Charlie can take Lee out. I just don’t see him doing it while he’s pitching a shut-out. A shut-out, complete game is a big deal.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:29 pm
Hmmm… no mention of the chant going on?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:29 pm
The only thing that scares me is that in the lst two games so far the Dodgers have only scored 2 runs, and those two really were because of an error honestly. I am afraid they “turn it on”.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:29 pm
congrats Brian.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:29 pm
Loving the chant I hear now.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:29 pm
LOL, nah doesnt rhyme with six. Our life is too normal to be on TV.
I’d like to see Lee complete the game but would be OK to see the pen in there for the last inning or last 2 to keep Lee somewhat more fresh for a potential game 7 or opening WS game.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:30 pm
What are the fans yelling about Manny?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:30 pm
I cant hear the chant what is it?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:30 pm
Brian…let’s hope his name is win!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:31 pm
why was manny taking all the way on a 1-1 count?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:31 pm
On my TV, it is a very clear “You used steroids!”
October 18th, 2009 at 10:31 pm
What’s the chant? I missed it
October 18th, 2009 at 10:32 pm
Well I just hope Ed R was correct a while back that his nickname will be “Champ”.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:32 pm
You took steroids!
I think.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:32 pm
They’re apparently saying “You took steroids”
October 18th, 2009 at 10:32 pm
Shouldnt it be more like “You take Estrogen”? LOL.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:33 pm
it sounded like they were saying Rueben Amaro
October 18th, 2009 at 10:33 pm
That’s what’s floating around the twittersphere, at least.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:33 pm
I think thats what he tested positive for was womend fertility drugs. LOL
October 18th, 2009 at 10:33 pm
“You used steroids!” Love it.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:33 pm
Oh I will be right…I will be!!!
Cliff Lee is the jeweler because he deals in gems!!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:34 pm
My tv has great sound and plays background noise very clearly. It can be strange sometimes. I can always hear stadium music and announcements fairly clearly.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:34 pm
Lee is getting close to the magich 100
October 18th, 2009 at 10:35 pm
Lee in the 8th?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:35 pm
Take Lee out? I would let him pitch tomorrow too.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
Lee just went over 100, maybe 102 or 103.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
Put in K.K.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
hes got the whole game
October 18th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
103 pitches great game lee!!! see you next start
boy if there wasn’t an eagles game today we would’ve had a record for positive comments on here
October 18th, 2009 at 10:37 pm
So far, in 7 innings, Lee has faced only 23 batters. The minimum possible, of course, is 21.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:38 pm
Dave…..Kendricks is not on the roster
October 18th, 2009 at 10:40 pm
Lee at 103 going into the 8th with an 8 run lead. I say at this point, yank him.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:40 pm
boliermaker i know exactly what you are talking about with the background noises..i would hear that on my parents tv where the background noise was very prevalent, even more so than the announcers sometimes
kyle kendrick is not a bad choice dave
October 18th, 2009 at 10:40 pm
Who’s watching the Braves’ playoff games these days?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:41 pm
Is Jamie Moyer on the roster?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:41 pm
Brian – the fertility drugs reduce the jacked testostrenone levels that the steroids increase
October 18th, 2009 at 10:41 pm
KK and Moyer are not on the roster
October 18th, 2009 at 10:41 pm
I was wondering why he wasn’t pitching yesterday with a lefty up and the bases loaded…
October 18th, 2009 at 10:41 pm
@Joedad: HA!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
The announcers have been great. And I am really enjoying the lack of Joe Buck.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
Kendrick and Myers were left off for Park and Bruntlett…..right?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
who do we have in the bullpen we can afford to waste? i think lee should be down…they didn’t announce anyone in the bullpen so it’s going to be a moot point
October 18th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
@joedad, I think the Braves are beating the Mets today (on PS3).
October 18th, 2009 at 10:43 pm
These announcers are so pro-Phillies
October 18th, 2009 at 10:44 pm
he did not go!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:44 pm
too bad it didnt count!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:44 pm
8 run lead in the 7th. Perfect time for a Jayson Werth Homerun.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:45 pm
I agree with pmacdo. BS call. That was a walk.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:45 pm
this is weird that i won’t even need to go to the cvs and get my blood pressure checked after the game
October 18th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
haha yeah really they know how to make you sweat!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
moot point, walk anyway.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
Randy Wolf is going to be pitching scared tomorrow after seeing this outburst tonight. He can’t pitch at CBP anyway.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
Moyer is not on the roster…he is out for the year. He hurt himself in the regular season. He was actually just in the hospital last week for a blood infection.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
@ray, dont jinx this thing man.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
I’m flashing on Steve Colbert’s description of the Mets logo. It’s a diamond, like the place a World Series might be played. And it has the number 2009, the section where the Mets would be watching that game.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:47 pm
oh wow is he ok?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:47 pm
Remember when the newspapers outed the owners a few years ago?
Since then they have spent the money needed to win. Now I love those guys. Guess it worked.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:47 pm
Ray…I bought my own cuff weeks ago! Saves gas money!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:47 pm
actually if the phillies were playing football they’d have 56 points right now and that still wouldn’t beat the patriots..lol
October 18th, 2009 at 10:48 pm
Here is an article on Moyer. Mayeb he will just be there in plain clothes. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20091018&content_id=7487404&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb
October 18th, 2009 at 10:48 pm
Ibanez is going to smoke one. I feel it.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:49 pm
Yes, just read the whole thing, “spectator” just started walking the other day in re-hab.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
Craig Sager was dressed by a clown
October 18th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
well I guess I was wrong, could have been the gas.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
@Ed R, I would rather Raul hold off on “smoking one” until we need it!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:51 pm
Moyer is in the dugout in uniform tonight.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:51 pm
this is like bizzaro phillies nation…no negative comments, no trolls….no negative phillies comments anyways..lol
October 18th, 2009 at 10:51 pm
There was a really good article on fanhouse, AOL’s sport site, about Charley and the rubber ducks last year. I had not heard about it at all until this morning.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:52 pm
goddamnit Feliz….why do you keep hitting into DP balls?
October 18th, 2009 at 10:54 pm
http://mlb.fanhouse.com/2009/10/17/manuel-makes-sure-phils-on-even-keel/
October 18th, 2009 at 10:54 pm
It takes a couple of months to rehab from that surgery…besides there is Myers who deserve the nod over anyone else health willing…
October 18th, 2009 at 10:55 pm
agreed, tomorrow would be a great time for a Ibombez…
October 18th, 2009 at 10:56 pm
the wolff pack is dead.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:57 pm
there is condrey as well
October 18th, 2009 at 10:58 pm
The wolf pack were jerkoffs. I hated those guys. They yelled at me for sitting too close to them once.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:58 pm
K K K K K K K K K K
October 18th, 2009 at 10:59 pm
LEE IS ON FIRE!!!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:59 pm
I really cant help but think Damin it, we would have a 3-0 lead in the series if it wasnt for that damn error. Ok, now you know I am REALLY being Greedy.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:59 pm
Eh, the wolf pack were fun to watch from a distance.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:59 pm
He has to go the CO Game Shut-Out Glory
October 18th, 2009 at 11:01 pm
ray, we finally figured out what isd takes to have no negative comments and no Rodger Dodger, Spankee Yankee trolls, just win 8-0. LOL
October 18th, 2009 at 11:01 pm
Yeah – it was a costly error, but you’re not going to win many games when you don’t score more than one run.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:01 pm
morris – i guess they were being territorial
October 18th, 2009 at 11:02 pm
Utley looks really flat. Hope he isnt hurt.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:02 pm
@ joedad, I think you mean Spankmee Yankmee…LOL
October 18th, 2009 at 11:02 pm
(My comment was to Brian.)
October 18th, 2009 at 11:03 pm
Morris…thanks for that article.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:03 pm
is charlie pushing it with Lee????
October 18th, 2009 at 11:04 pm
They’re playing Lee!
October 18th, 2009 at 11:05 pm
hehehehehe
October 18th, 2009 at 11:05 pm
Cliff Lee is a God in Red Pinstripes. There is no denying it.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:05 pm
guess not! but they better put in a pinch runner. He cannot risk injury!!! Shut Out or not!!!!

I sure as hell hope that this current outburst is it for the series. I hope they keep going tomorrow. (Theres that negative comment for you guys.)
October 18th, 2009 at 11:09 pm

Way to go shane! Guys, please save runs for tomorrow and Wednesday!

Booze in a coffee cup perhaps?

Joe Dad ……….I really want your maga ball prediction.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:11 pm

October 18th, 2009 at 11:11 pm
I don’t know about genius lol but he seems to be pretty bright…
why do I feel like these 11 runs are really going to bite us in the butt tomorrow…?
Hopefully not.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:12 pm
I sure as hell hope you are wrong Ed R.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
That sounds like PEDRO in the background?
October 18th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
Phils are a confident offense and put up some crooked numbers in mutliple innings. No doubt they can bring this tomorrow.
What are the fans chanting now?
October 18th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
me too….so badly do I hope I am wrong.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:16 pm
I’ll be so happy to log into this site and see Cliff Lee for the Ashburn in place of Chase Utley for the Jeltz.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:17 pm
OK – I was wrong about Lee finishing the game. (And I’m glad.)
October 18th, 2009 at 11:17 pm
i think it was a$$hole
October 18th, 2009 at 11:17 pm
now c’mon Ed….we had such a positive thing going here! It felt like the summer of love!
October 18th, 2009 at 11:17 pm
We should of swept this team. Good pitching will be the Dodgers.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:17 pm
You know the Phillies are an emotional passionate bunch as well (much like us the PHANS). Last year they were playing for Chollies mother and Victorinos grandmother. This year, lets do it for Harry Kalas boys! RIP! That looked like a NASTY slider.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:18 pm
bring Lee BACK!!!! LOL
October 18th, 2009 at 11:19 pm
I predict no more games in L.A.

Nice article on the rubber ducks Morris
October 18th, 2009 at 11:19 pm
I know we dont have much to complain about but I will say one thing. Does charlie really have any idea what hes doing sometimes? Why let Lee bat only to take him out? Give one of our bench players an AB to keep their timing going. Not sure why he did that. And if youre going to put someone in. I would put Lidge in. Any work for Lidge that wil end successfully is good work. Dont understand Manuels reasoning. I never do.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:20 pm
with 1 out left and a lead like this, CBP is still packed. LOL.

charlie could have taken lee out while on base……really would have got the phans cheering!
October 18th, 2009 at 11:22 pm
CHOOOOOOOCH!!!!!!!
October 18th, 2009 at 11:23 pm
great catch chooch….should have let Lee go for the CG glory….
October 18th, 2009 at 11:23 pm
Do it for Harry. Dont take a day off, HK didn’t. He traveled with the team all the time, even after being told to take some days off!
October 18th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
hey….I love when Harry sings!!!!

CONGRATS BRIAN… Talk to you guys next time.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
6 more wins. See you tomorrow night fellas.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:25 pm
This team is amazing. I was so mad at the Phillies loss on Friday that I could not even think about it ever since without getting really mad. It didn’t even phase this team though. An extremely demoralizing loss followed by the most dominating performance of the post season, snuffing out any momentum that LA might have had.
Just amazing.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:27 pm
Stuart – i agree why let the guy bat and then take him out. I think at the last minute he thought if Lee’s next start is a stinker then they’ll blame it on the CG nonsense…
October 18th, 2009 at 11:28 pm
Thanks everyone, really appreciate it! I HOPE not be back on here during the NLCS (i.e I hope they win the next 2!) Either way, talk to you all in a few days! Think happy thoughts. Think “High Hopes”!
October 18th, 2009 at 11:29 pm
Good luck Brian! Enjoy that little phanatic!
October 18th, 2009 at 11:35 pm
Outstanding, lets keep it rolling
October 18th, 2009 at 11:51 pm
Good win, but this series is far from over. I hope the Phils dont rest on their laurels…they need to come out and really focus against this tough left-hander Wolf…..
October 19th, 2009 at 12:24 am
Charlie did very good by taking Lee out. Why push his arm anymore with a huge lead. He was as dominate as any pitcher I have ever seen. Two more at home baby. Lets finish this up.
