Mathieson has had 2 TJ surgeries and another elbow procedure I think. The guy is a mental monolith…hopefully that translates into back end bullpen material

Have to think part of the AFL is to showcase players for trade. Brown may be the most attractive trade bait. Agree that Mathieson has a big upside as a closer. Big fastball, goes right at hitters and reports are his slider is plus. Does Gosewich get the backup spot to Ruiz?

Mathieson,
I see him in our bullpen next year. He is a power arm with major league experience. Could be a closer down the road
