The title of this post should be “Utley still the most underrated player in the majors.”

  2. Tavian Says:

Third is good for Ryan. The top two vote-getters deserved to be where they were. I hope Ryan continues to be a top-vot -getter next year, as well with Chase Utley winning the whole thing.

  4. karen Says:

Utley definately deserves the MVP but will probably never get it because he doesn’t have the power numbers and homers

    i love chase..

    but guys come on…

he hit like .280 this year…
he needed about 50 bombs to win it with a .280 average

and he isnt the most underrated player in the majors…are you freaking serious???

    jayson werth has that honor

  6. Don M Says:

This goes to my longstanding arguement, that my fellow Phillies fans think Chase Utley is god ..

    he’s not ..

He is a very good all-around player.. probably the best 2nd baseman in baseball..

Nowhere near the best player in baseball .. and he goes into a shell in September,.. thank god we’ve got Ryan Howard

  7. Polish Prince Says:

    Don M

Yeah and thank god we’ve got Chase Utley cause Ryan Howard doesn’t show up until June.

  8. Amanda Orr Says:

    Don M,

I agree that Chase Utley’s the best 2nd baseman in baseball, but isn’t the BEST player in baseball (Pujols. However, he is easily in the top 10. Arguably around the top 5. I’d say somewhere around 5-7.
