   I was at this game and can tell you that, without exaggeration, it was one of the best nights of my life.

   I remember sneaking into very close seats throughout the course of this game, and the milisecond that Ibanez’ bat connected with the ball, leaping so high out of my seat and giving a good ol’ “YEAAAAAAAH.” I reacted so quickly that the girl I was with told me she was embarrassed until she realized it was a homer because she was scared that I had just made a fool of myself.

   An absolutely unbelievable game that will define this era of Phillies baseball for years to come. The kind of game you tell your kids about.

   Ibanez was a pleasant surprise. My first reaction when he was signed was “WTF”. True he had a tough second half, but he also had a tough injury to overcome, and even in the second half, came up with some timely doubles. I look forward to see Ibanez start off again after surgery and lots fo rest. I dont expect .349 with 20 homers or whatever it was by the break, but Im sure he will be a difference maker again.

   Ibanez’s grand slam won it, 13-11. Ryan Howard hit a grand slam before that to tie the game at 6-6. This despite the Phils pitching giving up home run after mammoth home run. The ball positively flew out of Citizens Bank Park. This, my friends, was a game for the ages. And at this point, nobody can ever count the Phillies out of any game. These guys can win anything.

   anything ????? but 2 world series in a row….you beat Washington …yeah washington….a game for the ages…well I guess so …being ya have the most losses for the ages…..spin doctors ….they were 59 and 103…a little side note THE WORLD SERIES CHAMPION NEW YORK YANKEES WERE ——103 AND 59 ….guess you couldn’t come up with a game for the ages there …oh oh that hurt….no spin there nope….notta …zip….O :}

   I was at this game… it was an awesome game. In my mind, that was the climax of Raul’s coming out party in Philly.

   Spanky Yankee- you’re a loser. You’re posting on a phillies fan forum in the offseason. You mean to tell me you have nothing better to do? What are you trying to accomplish by posting on here? Are you trying to convince us that we should be Yankees fans or you are trying to get some sort of self-affirmation because you’re a pimple-faced loser that couldn’t get laid if Tiger Woods was endorsing your little putter… maybe we should all be Yankees fans- that would eliminate arrogant a-holes like you that have nothing better to do than to post on other teams websites.

   I don’t get to nearly as many games as I woud like, but I was at that one. I was a magical moment. As we all know. never count these guys out. I will be going to Phantasy Camp if any other attendes woulg like to concact me.

    A comeback with two grandslams? It was the very beginning of the season, whos to say the nats wouldnt be good? The whole game they looked good. Spank the yankees once again well see u next year. so easy to talk when u take steroids and have 100000 more dollars then everyone else. im sorry 100000000 more dollars….

    I was at this game as well, funny story too…well actually not really that funny.

    About 8 of us where there sitting in the lower part of the 400 level. Some asshole drunk (or high) Phillies fan kept yelling obscenities to the point where I actually got up and walked down to standing room. He and his girlfriend (classy) kept screaming “Bluntlett” when Eric Bruntlett came up to bat.

    Ibanez then hit the grand slam and all was better in my world.
