Eaton, Kendrick Swap Starts; Mets Preview

In an interesting little switch, Adam Eaton will pitch Tuesday against the Astros, while Kyle Kendrick will be handed the ball Wednesday. It allows Eaton to get a start Sunday against the Mets, a team he has dominated throughout his career. He pitched a six-inning, three-run effort against them Thursday night.

With Eaton, Kendrick and Brett Myers getting the ball for the Astros series, that means it’ll be Cole Hamels, Jamie Moyer and Eaton going against the Mets. If the Mets don’t take into account their off day today, Johan Santana would pitch against Hamels Friday. As of now, Santana will miss the Phillies series and is listed to pitch Thursday against the Nationals.

With the pinstripes in his blood, he witnessed Terry Mulholland’s 1990 no-hitter, “Steve Carlton Night” at the Vet, game three of the 1993 World Series, countless games during the charmed 2008 championship season and various road excursions.
