Gamenight: Astros (5-9) At Phillies (7-7)

Last night was incredible at Citizens Bank Park, with the Phillies coming back from a 3-0 deficit in the ninth inning to defeat the Astros, 4-3. Chris Snelling, Pat Burrell, Geoff Jenkins and Pedro Feliz all got huge hits, while Chase Utley got hit, all off Jose Valverde in that splendid ninth.

Tonight Kyle Kendrick will try to get back on track; Jimmy Rollins is still out, but he pinch hit yesterday and may be back tomorrow. Pedro Feliz, who has great career numbers against Roy Oswalt, will hit second.

Phillies: Kyle Kendrick (1-1), 6.14 ERA
Astros: Roy Oswalt (0-3), 9.00 ERA

Gametime: 7:05 p.m.
Weather:

62 degrees, sunny
Lineup: Werth/Feliz/Utley/Howard/Burrell/Jenkins/Ruiz/Bruntlett/Kendrick

MLB Gameday

Your gameday beer: If Kyle Kendrick has a third-consecutive stinker, it might be time to actually send him to Japan for Kobayashi. So, hot dog eaters, have a Sapporo Draft. It’s the basic Japanese American microbrew. Not great, but not bad. Do I even have to tell you what to eat with this?

Tim first found the Phillies as a little infant at Veteran’s Stadium, cheering on a Juan Samuel game-winning home run in his very first game. With the pinstripes in his blood, he witnessed Terry Mulholland’s 1990 no-hitter, “Steve Carlton Night” at the Vet, game three of the 1993 World Series, countless games during the charmed 2008 championship season and various road excursions. Since November 2007 Tim’s been writing about them daily at Phillies Nation, becoming one of the world’s most popular Phillies scribes. You can catch him on Twitter and Facebook, as well. When he’s not talking about the Phils he’s relaxing with a St. Bernardus ABT 12 or one of his many favored brews.
