Gamenight: Phillies (11-10) At Brewers (12-8)

Over .500 and loving it!

The Phillies got over the hump yesterday with a three-run ninth inning, thanks to Pat Burrell and his golden stick. Now it’s Cole Hamels’ turn to keep the wheels running as the Phils open a two-game set with the Brewers at Miller Park. They’ll face Dave Bush, who is the emergency starter since Ben Sheets went down with an injury. (What else is new?)

Geoff Jenkins returns to Milwaukee for the first time since leaving the only team he played for his entire career.

Phillies: Cole Hamels (2-1), 1.86 ERA
Brewers: Dave Bush (0-3), 7.02 ERA

Gametime: 8:05 p.m.
Weather: 58 degrees, sunny
Lineup: Werth/Dobbs/Utley/Howard/Burrell/Jenkins/Ruiz/Bruntlett/Hamels

MLB Gameday

Your gamenight beer: Yetserday we recommended Miller Lite, and since tonight the Phils are in Milwaukee, we have to go with Miller High Life. Don’t ever mess with the champagne of beers, it’s a quality macro. Brewed in Milwaukee, you know what it works with: a nice, hot brat.

Go Phillies!

Tim Malcolm

Tim first found the Phillies as a little infant at Veteran’s Stadium, cheering on a Juan Samuel game-winning home run in his very first game. With the pinstripes in his blood, he witnessed Terry Mulholland’s 1990 no-hitter, “Steve Carlton Night” at the Vet, game three of the 1993 World Series, countless games during the charmed 2008 championship season and various road excursions. Since November 2007 Tim’s been writing about them daily at Phillies Nation, becoming one of the world’s most popular Phillies scribes. You can catch him on Twitter and Facebook, as well. When he’s not talking about the Phils he’s relaxing with a St. Bernardus ABT 12 or one of his many favored brews.
