Gamenight: Phillies (39-27) At Marlins (35-29)

We all fell back toe Earth last night, as the Phils dropped one 5-4 to the Marlins. Up three games in the NL East, the Phils will try to get back on the horse with Cole Hamels taking the mound. He’s coming off a great start, a compete game shutout against the Reds. He’ll face Andrew Miller, a lefty who couldn’t get through the fourth as the Phils burned him for four runs en route to an 11-3 win.

The righties will be starting tonight as the Phils face two consecutive lefties to finish off the series.

Phillies: Cole Hamels (6-4) 3.36 ERA
Marlins: Andrew Miller (4-5) 5.65 ERA

Gametime: 7:10 p.m. EST
Weather: 82, possible showers
Lineup: Rollins, Victorino, Utley, Howard, Burrell, Werth, Feliz, Ruiz, Hamels

Your gamenight beer: After last night a bunch of fans went into hysterics that the Phils weren’t close to a top-flight team. Well, calm down everyone, everything will be OK. So tonight I give you O.K. Beer, a Euro pale lager. Dig the lady on the label — that’s the kind of dress you can toss to the floor. You’d be hard pressed to find this beer, but when you do, you’ll be satisfied. Just enough.

Go Phillies!

Tim first found the Phillies as a little infant at Veteran’s Stadium, cheering on a Juan Samuel game-winning home run in his very first game. With the pinstripes in his blood, he witnessed Terry Mulholland’s 1990 no-hitter, “Steve Carlton Night” at the Vet, game three of the 1993 World Series, countless games during the charmed 2008 championship season and various road excursions. Since November 2007 Tim’s been writing about them daily at Phillies Nation, becoming one of the world’s most popular Phillies scribes. You can catch him on Twitter and Facebook, as well. When he’s not talking about the Phils he’s relaxing with a St. Bernardus ABT 12 or one of his many favored brews.
