Contest: Go To The Bank With Tim

Hey Nation,

Sitting here in a Manhattan penthouse, I’m feeling overly philanthropic. Knowing what you guys do for me on a daily basis, I’d like to give back a little.

That said, I’m attending Thursday’s BPS against the St. Louis Cardinals. Gametime is 1:05 p.m. at the Vault. Jamie Moyer will likely pitch for the good guys. I have two seats; problem is, the original taker of the other seat can’t make it to the game. Something about work. Pah.

So here’s the deal: I’m offering the seat to whoever wants it here. And it’s free. (Well, the game is free, but we’ll get to that in a minute.) And I’m holding a little contest for that seat.

Here’s what you have to do: E-mail me at tim@philliesnation.com and tell me what we’ll do to celebrate the Phils win (or mourn a loss) after Thursday’s game. That’s right — you’ll be paying for a celebration. Anything — drinks, food, entertainment, whatever. Be creative. It doesn’t have to be expensive (and it shouldn’t be, we’re all cheap humans here), but it should be fun. The best entry will win the ticket, absolutely free, and will get to watch Thursday’s game with yours truly. (I may also drive you, but that depends on where you are.)

(By the way, wish I could tell you where I’m sitting, but I forget. I think it’s up high, but who cares?)

One more thing: As I’m in Manhattan for the day/night, anyone want to meet up tonight and watch the game? Tell me when and where (I’m thinking Wogie’s, but hey, I’m open).

Tim first found the Phillies as a little infant at Veteran’s Stadium, cheering on a Juan Samuel game-winning home run in his very first game. With the pinstripes in his blood, he witnessed Terry Mulholland’s 1990 no-hitter, “Steve Carlton Night” at the Vet, game three of the 1993 World Series, countless games during the charmed 2008 championship season and various road excursions. Since November 2007 Tim’s been writing about them daily at Phillies Nation, becoming one of the world’s most popular Phillies scribes. You can catch him on Twitter and Facebook, as well. When he’s not talking about the Phils he’s relaxing with a St. Bernardus ABT 12 or one of his many favored brews.
