Gameday: Mets (43-44) At Phillies (48-40)

Last night the Phillies blew a 4-3 lead, letting the Mets run away late and beat the Phils 9-4. JC Romero and Tom Gordon engineered the blow, as the Mets circled the bases in the eighth and did even more damage off Rudy Seanez in the ninth. It erased a dramatic go-ahead, with good pinch hitting and clutch power hitting.

Now the Phils face the erratic Oliver Perez, who has been doing better in his past few starts. He now carries a 4.98 ERA, but once topped out at 5.70. He’ll face Kyle Kendrick, who is coming off some good starts. Hopefully he keeps it close once again.

Seriously, as I’m down the beach, I’m going with Bud Light Lime, a new installment from the boys at Anheuser Busch. It’s a bad beer, let’s be frank, but for lime beers, it’s not a bad choice. Munch on some nachos with this.
