Manuel: I'll Take Burrell In 2009

Charlie Manuel said, via Jayson Stark, that he’d like to bring Pat Burrell back in 2009.

“When I think of his good points versus his [negatives] speedwise, the more I look at it and see what’s out there … I weigh all that and I think, ‘Look, we won the World Series with him out there. So would I like him back? I don’t see why not.'”

“Speedwise,” he says. Still, if the price is right, I don’t see why not.
