The Phillies won a solid game over the Reds yesterday. Cole Hamels pitched very well. The offense was clutch. The relief pitching was strong and dutiful. Yes, it looked nice. Very nice.

It won’t get easier, especially as Jamie Moyer pitches tonight. His 8.15 ERA is the highest in baseball among pitchers with more than 30 innings registered. Again, this young Reds lineup doesn’t have too much experience against Moyer (which is a plus), but Alex Gonzalez is 4-for-6 lifetime against him.

Aaron Harang was pretty bad last season (6-17, 4.78 ERA). This season? Back to his ace-like self. He gave up five runs in his last start against San Diego, so there’s hope yet. Moreover, Harang is normally pretty bad against the Phils (.315 AVG, 6.15 ERA), so there’s plenty of opportunity. Chase Utley is 7-for-14 against him; Jimmy Rollins is 8-for-20.

The lineup is the same as recent, but with Coste: Rollins/Utley/Ibanez/Howard/Werth/Victorino/Feliz/Coste/Moyer.

Your gamenight beer: A weaker beer for the usually fantastic Anchor Brewery, this is its summer drink. With a hint of lemon, it’s perfect for summer heat. Tonight is one of those warm summer nights; go ahead and enjoy one of these with a grilled cheese sandwich.

Go Phillies!
