Feliz Option Declined

The Philadelphia Phillies announced a short while ago that they would not pick up Pedro Feliz’s $5.5 million option for 2010, according to multiple sources.

Feliz hit .266 with 12 home runs and 82 RBI in 158 games in the regular season, but struggled mightily in the playoffs with his bat.  Defensively, he was still one of the best in the league, however, the Phillies will explore other options at the hot corner going forward.

A few of the names being talked about are Chone Figgins, Adrian Beltre, Garrett Atkins, and Mark Derosa, among others.
