PAL Night at the Phillies Raises over $30K

Congrats to the Police Athletic League for putting on a great show last night. In their annual PAL Media Softball Game at Citizens Bank Park, the Radio/Web team crushed the TV/Newspaper squad 8-1 (I think). But more importantly, everyone was out there for a great cause.

More than $30,000 was raised for the girls and boys of PAL, an extraordinary number that will go toward keeping our youth involved in sports and more and off the inner-city streets. I was thrilled to be a part of something like that last night.

Statistically speaking, I had a 2-for-2 game with two runs scored, although Ryan Lawrence of the Delco Times nearly made a spectacular play to get me at first. Playing in that game was an excellent experience, as I got to play where the big kids play. Fun times were had by all and I want to thank PAL for getting Phillies Nation involved in the event.
