So, Charlie Manuel went on some sort of rant. According to the beat guys following the team out in Phoenix, Manuel was angered following the loss of Jose Contreras and the accusations that he was overused, which caused the injury.

For a few quotes, Matt Gelb from the Philadelphia Inquirer has it.

Cliff Lee vs. Ian Kennedy – advantage Lee.

Phillies offense vs D’Backs offense – not as easy right now is it? Raul Ibanez is back in the lineup and the guy needs two or three hits tonight, plain and simple.

Lineup: Victorino CF, Polanco 3B, Rollins SS, Howard 1B, Francisco RF, Ibanez RF, Ruiz C, Valdez 2B, Lee P

Your gameday beer: Stella Artois

A cold Stella on a beautiful night with nothing but baseball? Love it. Stella is a Belgian beer and the name is Latin for the word “star”. The Phillies could use some Stella’s tonight in their lineup. It’s been far too long since we’ve enjoyed one of their patented offensive tears. Enjoy it with a Chicken Caesar salad and a Phillies victory. You won’t be let down tonight – by either. – By Pat
