MLB Draft: Phillies Select SS, 3B in Round 2

Roman Quinn, a shortstop out of Port St. Joe, FL. He’s only about 5’10, 170 pounds, but is a switch-hitting, slick fielding infielder who has signed a letter of intent with Florida State. Here is a video of him:

At the end of the second round, with pick 90, the Phillies took slugging third baseman Harold Martinez from the University of Miami. Here is a look at his power from a Cape Cod league home run derby:

– In the 3rd round, the Phillies took a left handed pitcher, Adam Morgan from Alabama. Morgan is 6’1, 195 and is a junior.
