Phillies Rank 5th in FanGraphs Org. Ranks

FanGraphs has released their organizational rankings for 2012, measuring all thirty teams on a scale of 20-80 based on 2012 Outlook, 2013+ Outlook, Financial Resources, and Baseball Operations. The Phillies, quite surprisingly, finished 5th overall and as the highest ranked team in the National League.

The piece itself is a great read and highlights many of the issues moving forward. Unlike many of the pieces on FanGraphs, the outlook is light on advanced statistics.  I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that it was written by friend of the site and brother to long-time Phillies’ Nation writer Corey Seidman, Eric Seidman. Eric’s realistic view of the team puts them tied for four in 2012 Outlook and Financial Resources, tied for 19th in 2013+ Outlook, and 23rd in Baseball Operations.

Where would you rank the Phillies amongst the rest of the MLB?
