Gameday: Phillies (13-15) at Nationals (18-9)

Philadelphia Phillies (13-15) at Washington Nationals (18-9)

Cole Hamels (3-1, 2.78) vs. Jordan Zimmermann (1-2, 1.89)

Time: 8:05 PM, Nationals Park
TV: ESPN
Weather: Overcast, 71
Media: Twitter and Facebook

Cole Hamels will try and bring his continued success against Washington in the national spotlight tonight on ESPN.  Hamels is 6-0 in his last nine starts against the division rivals.  The Phillies lefty will also hope that the offense will remember to show up after getting out hit 15-5 last night.

The Phillies will be looking to tee off of young Jordan Zimmermann.  The righty is 0-2 with a 6.00 ERA against the Phillies.  Carlos Ruiz is three for seven in his career with a home run against Zimmermann.  He is hitting .419 with 15 RBIs in his last eight games.

Its been a struggle dating back to last year while playing the Nationals.  The Phillies have now lost their last seven games against Washington.  This is a critical series for the Phillies.  They just finished up with the Braves last week and tomorrow start a series against the Mets.  These next few games could shake it up in the division.

Lineup: Rollins 6, Pierre 7, Victorino 8, Pence 9, Nix 3, Ruiz 2, Polanco 5, Orr 4, Hamels 1

Your Gameday Beer – BadAss Beer

Although it’s carefully crafted by the Michigan Brewing Company in Webberville, Michigan, this is not a craft beer. This is not a snifter pour. This is not a beer with a flowery finish or oaky undertones. No, this beer takes water from the Saginaw aquifer and turns it into a beer that stands out and seems familiar at the same time.  Be a badass, and drink a good beer. Be safe and enjoy. -KC
