Gameday: Braves (45-39) at Phillies (37-49)

Philadelphia Phillies (37-49) vs. Atlanta Braves (45-39)

Vance Worley (4-5, 3.46) vs. Jair Jurrjens (2-2, 5.19)

Time: 1:35 PM, Citizens Bank Park
TV: PHL 17
Weather: Overcast, 94
Media: Twitter and Facebook

Shane Victorino was originally slated to bat seventh and play center field, but was a scratch at around 12:30. Jason Pridie will take over for Victorino. Todd Zolecki says it was a late switch by Manuel, he has not been traded.

As for the game, Vance Worley will look to right some wrongs and put the Phillies in the win column, a place they’ve seldom been in recently. They’ve lost nine of 10 and will try to get a victory heading into the all-star break, which would provide some semblance of momentum heading into the break – I think.  I don’t really know what momentum is anymore because the Phillies haven’t had any of it this season.

Lineup: Rollins SS, Pierre LF, Utley 2B, Howard 1B, Ruiz C, Pence RF, Pridie CF, Fontenot 3B, Worley P

Your gameday beer: Hell or High Watermelon Wheat Beer in a Can

Hell or High Watermelon Wheat is a summer seasonal beer available from April through September by 21st Amendment, and can be yours in six pack cans and on draft. It’s an American wheat beer, which undergoes a traditional secondary fermentation using fresh watermelon, ending in a straw-colored, refreshing beer with a kiss of watermelon aroma and flavor. Haven’t had it yet, but I’ve heard different reviews. If you’re feeling frisky, try it out on another hot, hot day. -Pat Gallen
