Raul Valdes was recalled from Lehigh Valley after a stint on the DL, Hector Luna was shipped back north.

Domonic Brown makes an appearance in the 2-hole this evening as Charlie Manuel tries to find the perfect lineup. Before the game, I asked Manuel where he envisions Brown hitting, and he said fifth or sixth in a perfect world. I like him or Schierholtz batting second. Both seem to have good plate discipline and a steady eye. Brown CAN provide some more speed, which Charlie likes in that spot.

Another note, the Phillies sellout streak could end tonight. A source close to the team tells me that they’re expecting around 41,000, but could get to around 43K depending on today’s sales. Very interesting! Keep an eye out.

Lineup: Rollins SS, Brown LF, Utley 2B, Howard 1B, Mayberry CF, Schierholtz RF, Frandsen 3B, Schneider C, Worley P

Today’s Gameday Beer: Modelo

Modelo is refreshing enough that it’s way better than Coors or the like, and it won’t set you back at the register. It’s certainly comparable to Corona, which I find refreshing on a hot, summer day like today. Enjoy your BBQ with family and friends on this awesome day in the Philly area! – Pat Gallen
