Gameday: Cardinals (62-52) at Phillies (51-62)

St. Louis Cardinals (62-52) at Philadelphia Phillies (51-62)

Lance Lynn (13-5, 3.52) vs. Vance Worley (6-7, 3.83)

Time: 1:35, Citizens Bank Park
Weather: Sunny, 85
TV: CSN
Media: Twitter and Facebook

Lance Lynn may not be a big-name pitcher, but he is having himself a solid year.  He averages a strikeout per inning.  Lynn has been a little inconsistent lately, however.  He has a 6.35 ERA in his last three starts.  Lynn tends to have the most trouble in the first inning, but then settles down after.

Worely is coming off a terrible start against the Braves where he lasted just under four innings.  Worley, like Lynn, has shown signs of inconsistency throughout the season.  Overall, he is having a decent year, but he still hasn’t been as good as he was in 2011.

Your gameday beer: Time for a tasty treat. Get yourself an Indian Brown Ale, courtesy of Dogfish Head. It tastes of chocolate, raisins, molasses, all the good stuff. Dogfish Head has a brewpub in Rehoboth Beach, so if you’re bored this weekend, take a trip down and sip that good stuff. –By Tim
