Cameron Rupp will get his first major league start. Got a chance to watch this kid in BP and he can hit a heavy ball. If he can prove to be a an asset for the remainder of the season, the Phillies could look to him to be part of their catching rotation in 2014.

Ryne Sandberg is giving him the start to pair him with Tyler Cloyd, since the two are familiar with each other.

Saw Dom Brown shagging flies in the outfield and taking BP today. He didn’t look to be limping on that sore right Achilles tendon. Sandberg said he hopes to have him back soon.

GAMEDAY BEER: Lagunitas Lucky 13′

I’ve yet to have a bad beer from Lagunitas. The Cali-based brewer sets the bar high with Lucky 13, what they call a super-hoppy-mondo-ale. Not the biggest fan of overly-hoppy drinks, but this one will certainly do. Cook up some brats on the grill, because the weather won’t stay this way much longer. -PG
