Gameday: Phillies (66-78) vs. Padres (66-77)

Philadelphia Phillies (66-78) vs. San Diego Padres (66-77)

Cliff Lee (12-6, 3.01) vs. Eric Stults (8-13, 4.07)

Time: 7:05 ET, Citizens Bank Park
TV:
CSN
Weather: Hazy/Warm, 91
Media: Twitter and Facebook

Cliff Lee’s quiet dominance continues, and with another solid outing, he can find his ERA in the two’s. According to my boy Corey Seidman, it would be the first time in the two’s since July. He’ll be dealing with heat and humidity; hittin’ weather as Charlie used to call it.

Chase Utley gets a night off with the lefty Eric Stults on the hill. Ryne Sandberg has mentioned that he’d like to get his veterans time off down the stretch.

Ryne Sandberg also told us today how he got his name. He was named after Ryne Duren, a Yankees pitcher in the 50’s. Did you know that?

Lineup: Hernandez CF, Rollins SS, Frandsen 1B, Ruiz C, Ruf LF, Asche 3B, Galvis 2B, Mayberry RF, Lee P

GAMEDAY BEER: Sly Fox Octoberfest

Had this Sly Fox version of Octoberfest last night and it was tasty. One thing that turns me off about the October brews is the spice. Sly Fox held off on that and made it drinkable.  -PG
