Rollins, Phillies Get Past Tigers, 10-6

Jimmy Rollins hit a three-run homer and walked twice as the Phillies beat the Tigers, 10-6, at Bright House Field.

Darin Ruf was the DH and finished 1-for-3 with two RBI after hitting his first home run of the spring on Thursday. Dom Brown, Carlos Ruiz, and Maikel Franco also knocked in a run apiece.

Kyle Kendrick wasn’t all that sharp, giving up three runs in two innings. Of course it’s way early, but the Phillies have given Kedrick a good amount of money this year, so he’ll have to provide more consistency during the regular season.

I continue to be impressed by Darin Ruf and wish the guy could play a better outfield. He can certainly hit, we all know that. Another guy to keep an eye on is Phillippe Aumont, who pitched one clean inning.

Tomorrow, Phillies at Yankees.
