Lincoln Clears Waivers, Pettibone Recalled

According to multiple reports, the Phillies have outrighted RHP reliever Brad Lincoln to Triple-A Lehigh Valley and have recalled Jonathan Pettibone. Lincoln was acquired on December 3, 2013 for catcher Erik Kratz and LHP Rob Rasmussen. Lincoln was a first-round draft choice of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2006 but has struggled to find consistent success in the Major Leagues since his first call-up in 2010, giving up a homer in about one in every three appearances with no discernible platoon split. In two appearances for the Phils, Lincoln has given up three earned runs. Pettibone returns to action tonight with the Phils and will take the hill to face the Marlins.
