Gameday 38: Angels vs. Phillies

Los Angeles Angels (20-18) at Philadelphia Phillies (17-20)

Starting Pitchers:
LAA: Garrett Richards (3-0, 2.80)
vs.
PHI: AJ Burnett (2-2, 2.90)

Time: 1:05, Citizens Bank Park
TV: CSN
Weather: Mostly Cloudy, 70
Media: Twitter and Facebook

A Note for Tonight:

Beware Garrett Richards. The kid can pitch and on getaway day, they’ll be looking to make this a quick one, which is never a good combo. On the other hand, AJ Burnett can pitch, too. Both hurlers have been solid this year. Should be a very good match up. But the Phillies need to figure out a way to put some runs on the board with more consistency or they wont be able to overcome their deficiencies.

Cody Asche had a terrible game last night but Ryne Sandberg will keep him out there to fight through it. Asche was distraught last night, yet Sandberg did not waiver. He said he would keep him out there and did.

Lineup:

Revere CF / Rollins SS / Utley 2B / Howard 1B / Byrd RF / Brown LF / Ruiz C / Asche 3B / Burnett P
