Franco, Crawford Make Futures Game Rosters

The top two hitting prospects in the Phillies organization, shortstop JP Crawford and third baseman Maikel Franco, will be part of the Futures Game during All Star week.

Crawford will join Team USA with Franco joining the World squad. Former Phillie prospect Domingo Santana, now with the Astros, will be Franco’s World teammate.

Crawford, 19, now with High-A Clearwater, is hitting .286 this season with three home runs and 19 RBI. He’s also stolen 14 bases.

Franco, 21, makes the team despite struggling with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He’s hitting .207 with five homers and 29 RBI in 73 games.

The 16th annual SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game will take place at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 13, at Target Field in Minneapolis, and it can be seen live on MLB.com and MLB Network.
