2015 Spring Training

Spring Training Gameday: Phillies (9-7) at Pirates (7-7)

Philadelphia Phillies (9-7) at Pittsburgh Pirates Split Squad (7-7)

Starting Pitchers:
PHI: Miguel Gonzalez
PHI: Vance Worley

Time: 1:05 EST, McKechnie Field

Weather: Sunny, 79

Media: Twitter and Facebook

A Note for Today:

Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez takes the hill for the Phillies, having allowed seven earned runs in seven innings pitched this spring. Gonzalez has struggled in almost every facet of his game this Spring. The Vanimal takes the hill opposing the Phils. Worley has thrown six solid innings this Spring after posting an 8-4 record with a 2.85 ERA in 110.2 IP last year.

The spotlight is on pretty much the entire starting line-up today. Every player but Cody Asche is more or less competing for a final roster spot as Spring draws to an end. Cord Phelps and Brian Bogusevic have been pleasant Spring surprises for the Phillies while Cameron Rupp may have earned the inside track for the back-up catching job.

Lineup: Danks CF Phelps 2B / Asche 3B / Ruf LF / Bogusevic RF / Canzler DH / McGuinnes 1B / Rupp C / Blanco SS
