Ben Revere Is On The Trade Block

Some Phillies fans will be happy to know that newly converted left fielder Ben Revere is reportedly on the trade block according to Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.

According to some experts the Phillies have been looking to move on from Ben Revere since last year. Revere had a (depending who you ask) productive 2014 season which saw the 26-year old hit .306 and swipe 49 bases. He also showed off some pop with two home runs, the first two of his career. Of course his short comings are his on base percentage which was .325 and his weak arm.

I will file this trade news in my “I will believe it when I see it” manila folder. The fact is, everyone on this team should be on the trade block, but I have no faith in Ruben Amaro to actually pull the trigger and get decent value. What would decent value be for Ben Revere? Truthfully I have no idea. Some people act like Revere is So Taguchi reincarnated, others like his speed. Either way I would not go holding my breath waiting for a Ben Revere trade.
