Yesterday’s recap:

The Phillies have dropped four games in a row after a loss to the Pirates last night, 7-2.  Luis Garcia came in to give up 4 runs in the 7th inning after the Phillies offense pulled within one run in the bottom of the 6th.  Justin De Fratus, Ken Giles, and Jonathan Papelbon combined for 3 scoreless innings of relief.

A Note for Tonight:

Cole Hamels gets the start on the mound today in a lefty duel of aces, opposite Francisco Liriano.  The Phillies offense has struggled to score runs this year, and is still 4 runs away from getting to 100, putting them last in runs scored in the entire Major League.  Odubel Herrera gets another game off as Ben Revere gets the start back in center field. Darin Ruf, who is batting .188 will get the start in the clean up position tonight.

The third game of a four-game series against the Pirates begins at 7:05 EST.

Lineup:

Revere CF, Galvis SS, Utley 2B, Ruf LF, Howard 1B, Francoeur RF, Hernandez 3B, Ruiz C, Hamels LHP
