Top Promotions at the Ballparks This Year

One of the cool things about professional baseball is the fun atmosphere at the ballpark. Teams do so many giveaways and promotions that add a little extra to the memory of the game you attended. I remember several different bobblehead games, t-shirt giveaways, and many others. Here are a bunch of cool giveaways throughout the Phillies organization that you should check out in 2016.

These socks will be available to all fans on June 5.

Starting with the Phillies, two giveaways really caught my eye. First is the retro socks giveaway on June 5. Take a look at these bad boys. I mean, how can you not like these socks?

The other one that I think is a must have is the Maikel Franco bobblehead. This will be available to all fans on June 18.

Moving down in the organization, I picked three promotions I thought were cool down in Lehigh Valley at Coca-Cola Park. On May 6, The IronPigs are doing a Star Wars Night, and finishing off the evening with fireworks. On May 31, they are giving away an Aaron Nola bobblehead to the first 3,000 adults age 18 & older. Lastly, on August 1, they are giving away a Top Gun t-shirt to the first 3,000 adults age 18 & older, and that game will also be a dollar dog night.

These all-gold bobbleheads will be given out at several Fightin Phils games in 2016.

Next we have the Reading Fightin Phils. They are celebrating 50 years of Phillies seasons down at First Energy Stadium. If I’m being honest, there’s almost no bad game to go to. They are running awesome promotions all year. I thought the absolute coolest ones were the all-gold bobbleheads they are giving out. They already gave out a Cole Hamels bobblehead, but there are many more to choose from. Here’s a list of all the gold bobblehead nights:

April 23: Jimmy Rollins (All fans)

June 6: Greg Luzinski  (First 2500 adults 15 & over)

June 21: Ryan Howard (First 2500 adults 15 & over)

June 28: Darin Ruf (First 2000 kids 14 & under)

July 24: JP Crawford (First 2000 kids 14 & under)

July 27: Pat Burrell (First 3000 adults 15 & over)

August 2: Darren Daulton (First 2500 adults 15 & over)

August 16: Mike Schmidt (First 3000 adults 15 & over)

August 17: Aaron Nola (First 2000 kids 14 & under)

August 28: Maikel Franco (First 2000 kids 14 & under)

Down the shore, the Lakewood BlueClaws are trading their bats in for magic wands as they host a Harry Potter night on May 20.  And don’t miss a trio of the most Jersey bobbleheads you can find, when the BlueClaws give out a set of Pork Roll, Egg and Cheese dolls on June 30th, July 25th and August 17th.

Lastly, in Clearwater (I must resist the urge to figure out what this “Black Honkeys” concert is all about on June 3rd), the Threshers host Dollar Tuesdays throughout the season, when fans can purchase berm tickets, hot dogs, 16oz sodas, 12oz beers, peanuts, popcorn and ice cream sandwiches all for $1 each!  That absolutely has to be the best bargain in baseball.

Baseball fans know there’s no such thing as a bad day to go to the ballpark.  These giveaways are just a few reasons to make those times at a game a bit more special.

If you’re interested in seeing all of the promotions for each club, I’ll leave the links here.  See you all at the ball games!
