Phillies settle with Cesar Hernandez

The Phillies and Cesar Hernandez have agreed to a contract for 2017, according to CSN Philly.

Hernandez will be paid $2.55 million in 2017, coming to terms before having to meet an arbitrator. The Phils were looking to pay the second baseman $2 million next season, while Hernandez was jockeying for $2.8 million

. MLB Trade Rumors projected his 2017 salary at $2.5 million.

2016 was a career year for Hernandez, who hit .294/.371/.393 in 155 games.
