Pat Neshek had a great stint as a Phillie. His low ERA, high strikeouts and overall pumped-up persona will last in our memories for quite a while.
Let’s revisit some of Neshek’s greatest moments as a member of the squad.
While signed as a Phillie, Neshek was pretty awesome in the World Baseball Classic, helping push the USA to victory:
Here’s Neshek playing the role of “only Phillies pitcher to figure out Giancarlo Stanton this year”:
Possibly why the Rockies wanted Neshek in the first place; this awesome diving stop …
There was the time he deked Paul Goldschmidt …
And his final great moment as a Phillie, striking out Ryan Braun while wearing those gorgeous throwback powder blues to keep a game tied.
Thanks, Pat Neshek. Next time you’re in town, we’ll buy you a beer. Or get you some cool baseball card. Whatever you want, dude.
