Gameday 2018: Phillies (23-16) at Orioles (13-28)

Interleague play is back, and this time the Phillies head to Baltimore for a quick two-game series against the Orioles.

I love Camden Yards. You should too.

Also, check out this hilarious Twitter of other birds as the Orioles logo.

Gametime: 7:05 p.m.

The lineup:

  1. Hernandez – 2B
  2. Hoskins – DH
  3. Herrera – CF
  4. Santana – 1B
  5. Williams – RF
  6. Franco – 3B
  7. Florimon – SS
  8. Valentin – LF
  9. Knapp – C

Pitchers: Nick Pivetta (2-2, 4.15 ERA) vs. Andrew Cashner (1-4, 4.84 ERA)

Why does it feel like Cashner is going to pitch extremely well tonight?

Also, yes, that’s Jesmuel Valentin in left field. Go with it, I guess.

Your Gameday Beer: I’m going to go with a Night Shift  Whirlpool today. An American APA with low ABV and tons of summertime flavor (lemon, orange, pepper, zest, light hops, crisp malt). I’m excited!

Go Phillies!

Tim first found the Phillies as a little infant at Veteran’s Stadium, cheering on a Juan Samuel game-winning home run in his very first game. With the pinstripes in his blood, he witnessed Terry Mulholland’s 1990 no-hitter, “Steve Carlton Night” at the Vet, game three of the 1993 World Series, countless games during the charmed 2008 championship season and various road excursions. Since November 2007 Tim’s been writing about them daily at Phillies Nation, becoming one of the world’s most popular Phillies scribes. You can catch him on Twitter and Facebook, as well. When he’s not talking about the Phils he’s relaxing with a St. Bernardus ABT 12 or one of his many favored brews.
