“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.
In addition to the Phillies alumni and history work which Larry shares with readers here at Phillies Nation, his “Minor League Report” pieces now also run with us all during the season as well.

Game #1: blanked on 2 singles, 4–0 . . . LP: Adonis Medina (0–2), 4.2–6–4–3–1–4, 2 hit batters.
Game #2: 8–1 win on the strength of a 7-run third inning . . . WP: David Parkinson (3–2), 6–4–1–1–1–5. JD Hammer fanned the side in the seventh . . . Third inning got started on 3 walks and a hit-batter for the first run; force play-RBI; 3B Austin Listi, RBI single; 1B Darick Hall, RBI double; LF Cornelius Randolph, 2-run double and an error allowed the seventh run; Listi added an RBI double in the fourth inning.

SV: Zach Warren (2), 2–1–1–1–2–6, wild pitch; yielded a run in the ninth without the benefit of a hit but struck out four in that inning, including the last 2 hitters with runners on second and third . . . SS Nick Maton continued his torrid hitting, 3–4, run, 2 RBI, HR (#3) that left Spectrum Field in right field, stolen base (6); boosted average to .324 . . . he’s had 3 hits in 2 consecutive games . . . multiple hits in 7 straight (17-for-29) . . . hits in 8 straight games, RBI in 5 straight . . . hitting .462 in last 10 games (only 4 strikeouts in 39 AB).
