Scant minutes from another in the lengthening series of intra division losses, with Max Scherzer on deck, its time to break the mindset of not being negative when things are bleak, or softening the good times with a level headed approach.

Thus, its time to revisit the status of Gabe Kapler. In shape to live to 110, baseball history tells us Kapler won’t manage until then. Hired to be fired, they call it. And as we inch another step toward that demise, the question remains will management hire a mental twin that like Kapler will manage to a t like modern day GMS want, or will they compromise and bring on someone who can handle a bullpen. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if they hire someone that raises the interest level in this ballclub, at least out of this individual, as a lateral move would likely equate to meh. Joe Girardi sounds better by the day.

I agree and will gladly take Joe Girardi. Catchers are better managers.

I have been a Phillies fan for 40 years and am actually rooting against this team because they are so unlikeable. I have never rooted against my own team in 40 years but this year is different. The spreadsheets, the know-it-alls, the big money for small production, and on and on there is just something about this team that I do not like. I voted for the All-Stars yesterday on-line and did not vote for one single Phillie. Actually I voted for Kingery in the OF but that is it. Harper is a disgrace and although I like Realmuto and Segura there are better NL options so they got my vote.

In the bottom of the 9th today I was rooting for the Phils to get out and lose the game. I do not like this team or its management. Have I mentioned that?
