“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.

In addition to the Phillies alumni and history work which Larry shares with readers here at Phillies Nation, his “Minor League Report” pieces now also run with us all during the season as well.

Lehigh Valley, International League North Division

**IronPigs (30-30) avoided a sweep in Buffalo by rallying for a 7-6, 11-inning win over the Bisons . . . Following a day off today, Pigs open a three-game series vs. Gwinnett on Tuesday night.

Pitching: LV used five pitchers . . . Starter Cole Irvin, ND, 5.1-9-3-3-0-5 . . . Seth McGarry

, 1.1-1-1-1-1-2, wild pitch . . . Tom Windle, .2-2-2-2-2-0 . . . Yacksel Rios, 2-2-0-0-1-1 . . . WP: Alexis Rivero (1-1), 2-0-0-0-1-1.

Hitting: Pigs hit four home runs but it was a sacrifice fly from SS Malquin Canelo that plated the winning run in the 11th.  Courtesy runner C Mat McBride was stationed on second, advanced to third on a throwing error by C Reese McGuire trying to pick McBride off second base, and scored on Canelo’s fly ball . . . 1B Damek Tomscha hit a game-tying solo home run (8) to center field in the eighth, 6-6 . . . McBride hit a two-run homer (7) to left field in the fourth, 3B Mitch Walding, solo to center in the sixth (8) and CF Jan Hernandez, a two-run blast (6) to left-center in the seventh; Hernandez had fanned in three previous at-bats . . . RF Ali Castillo, 1-5, run . . . 2B Jose Antequera, 2-5 . . . C Rob Brantly left the game in the second inning with an arm injury.

Reading, Eastern League Eastern Division

**Fightin Phils (34-25) pulled off a dramatic walk-off win over the visiting Harrisburg Senators in 10 innings, 5-4 . . . Day off today with Erie Sea Wolves in town starting Tuesday night, picking up a suspended game at 5:30 followed by a 7-inning game . . . Third-place Reading remains one game out of first place with eight games left in the first half.

Pitching: Starter, David Parkinson, 6-6-4-4-0-3, HR, hit batter . . . Three relievers followed with four scoreless innings—Jakob Hernandez, 1-1-0-0-1-0, Aaron Brown, 1-0-0-0-0-2, WP Jeff Singer (4-0), 2-0-0-0-0-4, wild pitch. Singer pitched out of a jam in T10—courtesy runner at second, advanced to third on a wild pitch, pop up to SS Arquimedes Gamboa, foul-tip strikeout, called third strike.

Hitting: Gamboa won the game with a two-out single to centerfield in B10; Luke Williams courtesy runner at second, advanced to third on a fly ball and scored following a strike out . . . Trailing 4-2 with two out in B9, Grenny Cumana beat out an infield hit. LF Cornelius Randolph followed with a two-run, game-tying homer to left center (#5) . . . 1B Darick Hall hit a solo homer in B7 (#12), fourth in last 10 games.

Clearwater, Florida State League North Division

**Threshers (34-28) were rained out in Daytona . . . Begin a four-game, four-day series vs. St. Lucie Mets at Spectrum Field tonight.

Pitching: RHR Grant Dyer (8th round, 2016, UCLA), hasn’t allowed an earned run since April 16, 19.1 innings, 10 hits, 4 walks, 20 strikeouts,

Transaction: RHR Oscar Marcelino, assigned from Lakewood.

Lakewood, South Atlantic League North Division

**BlueClaws (24-39) ended a 6-2 home stand with a 4-3 win over the Greensboro Grasshoppers at FirstEnergy Park . . . Tyler McKay (2-3), 7:05 tonight at Hagerstown Suns.

Pitching: ND for starter Manuel Silva, 4-1-1-1-2-3 . . . Ismael Cabrera, 1-0-0-0-0-1 . . . WP: Ethan Lindow (2-2), 4-2-2-1-0-5.

Hitting: Trailing 2-0 with two out in B6, Claws scored three runs on consecutive RBI singles by 2B Jonathan Guzman, C Abrahan Gutierrez and 3B Luke Miller . . . Fourth run came on a two-out RBI single by Guzman in B6 . . . Guzman, 2-4, run; fourth straight multi-hit game; batting .342 since May 18 . . . Gutierrez also 2-4; first game since May 23 (concussion).

Transaction: RHR Luis Ramirez, assigned from Clearwater.

**New York-Penn League (Williamsport Crosscutters) season opens at 7:05 this Friday night, hosting State College.

**Gulf Coast League season opens June 24 at Carpenter Complex.  Phillies again will field two teams, East and West.
