“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.

Lehigh Valley, International League North Division

**IronPigs (33–37) were squashed in Columbus, 14–0. The Clippers are 4–0 vs. LV, scoring 39 runs . . . June record now 6–13 . . . Game 2 of the weekend series, 7:15 tonight.

Pitching: Pigs used 7 pitchers, the 7th being infielder Ali Castillo, the only one not to give up a run . . . Enyel De Los Santos was the scheduled starter but he’s going to Philly to start on Sunday against Miami . . . Alexis Rivero was the emergency starter and loser (2–3), .1–3–5–5–0–0, 2 HR, 2 hit batters.

Hitting: Offense held to 7 singles, 2 for C Deivi Grullon . . . 3B-1B Austin Listi, 1–3, hit by pitch in AAA debut . . . LF Nick Williams played his 1st game since being optioned, 1–4.

Reading, Eastern League Eastern Division [39–28, 2nd place, 1st half]

**Fightin Phils (2–2) tied the game with a run in T8 and won it by scoring 3 in T10, 11–8 in Portland . . . Each team had a 6-run 3rd inning . . . Game 2 6 o’clock tonight.

Pitching: No decision for starter JoJo Romero, 4–10–8–7–0–2, HR, hit batter . . . Seth McGarry, in his return from AAA, 4–2–0–0–1–3 . . . WP: Jonathan Hennigan (1–1), 2–0–0–0–0–1; 3 fly balls in a 5-pitch 10th inning.

Hitting: Won it in the 10th: Luke Williams, courtesy runner at 2B, 2B Raul Rivas triple, DH Josh Stephen triple, 1B Darick Hall single; his 2-out single in T8 tied the game . . . SS Jose Gomez, 2–5, 2 RBI . . . Hall, 2–5, walk, run, 2 RBI; 12 RBI in last 6 games; 51 RBI leads league . . . Stephen, 2–6, 2 runs, double, triple, stolen base . . . CF Grenny Cumana, 2–6, run, RBI . . . 3B Alec Bohm in AA debut, 0–5, walk, run, strikeout.

**Threshers (4–1), wearing their alternate Beach Dlogs uniforms, edged the visiting Daytona Tortugas, 3–2 . . . Series continues at 6:30 tonight.

Pitching: WP: Ethan Evanko (4–2, 6–2 overall), 6–7–2–2–0–6, HR; 1.74 ERA in Clearwater . . . Zach Warren, 1.1–0–0–0–3–2 . . . SV: Grant Dyer (5), 1.2–1–0–0–0–1; 14 pitches, 12 strikes; lowered ERA to 0.57; has given up 2 earned runs in 31.1 innings, April 6 and April 16 . . . Bullpen has a consecutive scoreless inning streak of 17.2 innings.

Hitting: Held to 8 singles . . . SS Nick Maton, 2–3, 2 walks, RBI, stolen base . . . 2B Dalton Guthrie, 2–3, walk, RBI . . . 3B Dan Brito, 2–4, run, stolen base . . . Game ended when RF Jhailyn Ortiz made a diving catch with the tying run on first base.

Hitting: Claws had 3 singles and a double . . . Four different players had 1 hit each.

Hitting: Cutters had 5 singles and 1 double and struck out 14 times . . . Five different players had 1 hit.

Gulf Coast League

Season opens Monday afternoon . . . Phillies again will field two teams, East and West . . . Games begin at 12 noon (10 a.m. on Saturdays). League-wide day off every Sunday.

**East: Tigers East, 12 noon at Carpenter Complex.

**West: travels to Tampa to play Yankees East, 12 noon.
