Phillies Nation Perfect Season: Phillies score 20 runs, devour the Fish

Every day until Opening Day arrives, Phillies Nation will take a daily look back at a regular season victory from that particular day in history that you can watch in full in lieu of live Phillies baseball. Think of it is as your daily Phillies watch recommendation.

Maikel Franco hit his fourth career grand slam against the Marlins on April 7, 2018.

It was Opening Night of the 2018 Phillies home schedule. Fans in the stands sported t-shirts with “Be Bold,” written on the front. It became the de facto slogan of the Gabe Kapler era and at least for one night, the Phillies offense embodied the slogan. The team scored 20 runs, including two grand slams from Maikel Franco and Aaron Altherr. It was the first time since July 2009 that the Phillies scored 20 or more runs in a game.
