    Of course it makes sense. It actually opened up the opposite side of the field later in the game. The act of bunting has also been known to help a batter focus on pitching.

    I completely agree with you Keg. All this talk about all the Phillies do is hit homeruns and cannot get runners on base and score. Look what happened. The runner, Harper, scored. I get it, media outlets need stories to talk about and discuss but this isn’t one of them

    I love that Bryce laid down the bunt to beat the shift! And it led to a productive inning. Now please tell me why Roman Quinn, who runs 100 mph, when faced with a similar shift (no one playing the 3B position), isn’t bunting every single at bat? Seriously, every single time until they take that shift off.

      He probably remembers when we had Ben Revere, and how everyone hated having a guy that bated 300, and had 200 his a year. He just wants to fit in.
