The Baseball Writers’ Association of America officially announced Bohm, San Diego’s Jake Cronenworth and Milwaukee’s Devin Williams as finalists for the award on MLB Network Monday.

The 24-year-old hit .338 with four home runs and an OPS of .881 in 44 games after making his debut on Aug. 13. He spent most of his time playing third base, while also making appearances at first base and designated hitter for the Phillies.

Entering 2020 as the team’s top position prospect, Bohm burst on to the scene with a double in his first career at-bat. He continued to be a reliable bat for the Phillies, providing a walk-off sacrifice fly and a walk-off single down the stretch.

Bohm’s 1.2 fWAR on the season ranked fifth among NL rookies. He led all NL rookies with at least 100 plate appearances in OPS.

The Phillies selected Bohm with the third pick in the first round of the 2018 draft. He made it as high as Double-A last season, and spent the beginning of this past season at the alternate training site in Lehigh Valley. He made his major-league debut without ever reaching Triple-A.

The winners of the BBWAA awards, including the NL Rookie of the Year award, will be announced next week.
