Two affiliate clubs in the Philadelphia Phillies organization were no-hit in the latest week of the minor-league season.

The Low-A Clearwater Threshers and the High-A Jersey Shore BlueClaws both failed to record a hit in a game in their most recent series.

The Threshers are now 32-30; Jersey Shore is 24-39; the Double-A Reading Fightin Phils are 27-36; the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs are 36-30.

Threshers continue trend

Clearwater found itself on the losing end of a no-hitter for the second time this month on Wednesday as three Palm Beach Cardinals right-handers worked around nine baserunners to secure a 5-0 win at BayCare Ballpark. The Threshers had previously been no-hit by Bradenton on June 9.

Tink Hence, Jose Moreno and Roy Garcia took the mound for Palm Beach and delivered the memorable performance. Clearwater reached base via walk and hit-by-pitch throughout the game, but ultimately could not put a knock on the board.

BlueClaws get shut down

The BlueClaws were no-hit for the first time since 2008 on Saturday as they fell to Aberdeen 6-0 at ShoreTown Ballpark.

Five Jersey Shore batters reached base throughout the game, including Johan Rojas after being hit with a pitch in the ninth inning, but IronBirds pitchers Peter Van Loon, Daniel Lloyd and Xavier Moore kept the BlueClaws hitless.

Andrew Painter scratched from start

2021 first-round pick Andrew Painter was scratched from his scheduled start for Jersey Shore on Sunday, with Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reporting that it was to manage his workload.

The 19-year-old right-hander made his High-A debut a week prior after dazzling to start the year in Clearwater. Painter has a 1.94 ERA in 41 2/3 innings across 10 starts in his first full season of pro ball.
