Sunday’s Phillies-Cubs game to stream exclusively on Peacock

For the second time in three days, a Phillies game will not be on traditional television.

Sunday’s Phillies-Cubs games, which begins at 12:05 p.m. ET., will be broadcasted on the streaming service Peacock. This is the second time a Phillies game could only be found on the NBC-owned streaming service. The Phillies-Nationals game on June 19 marked the first time this season the Phillies were featured in MLB’s exclusive Sunday late morning-early afternoon timeslot.

The broadcast team for Sunday’s game will be Jason Benetti (play-by-play) alongside John Kruk and Ryan Sweeney as color analysts.

Unlike the Apple TV+ broadcast on Friday, you’ll have to pay an additional fee to access Sunday’s series finale as this game is only available with a Peacock premium subscription. Xfinity cable subscribers are able to sign up for Peacock premium at no additional charge. Everyone else will have to pay $4.99 to subscribe for the month.

This is the last time the Phillies will be on Peacock this season. The streaming service’s slate of games ends on Sept. 4 and the Phillies are not scheduled to be featured for the remainder of the regular season.

That’s not the case with Apple TV+. Two Phillies games, Aug. 5 vs. the Washington Nationals and Aug. 12 at the New York Mets will be featured on “Friday Night Baseball” on Apple TV+.
