Phillies make adjustments to their roster before World Series

The Philadelphia Phillies announced their World Series roster Friday morning, and there are some adjustments from the NLCS:

Nick Maton is back on the roster for the first time since the NLWCS, and will offer a bench option for Rob Thomson. He replaces Dalton Guthrie, who had been on the roster the last two rounds as a late-inning defensive replacement in the outfield.

Also back on the roster is Nick Nelson, who had been removed during the NLCS after David Robertson returned from a calf injury. Bailey Falter — who gave up four earned runs in 2/3 of an inning in his Game 4 NLCS start — is off the roster for the World Series. That would seem to suggest that Noah Syndergaard will start Game 4 of the Fall Classic on Tuesday, although Kyle Gibson still remains as a possible alternative.
