Phillies Nation Podcast: Phillies Get Their Guy in Trea Turner

It’s happening: Trea Turner is going to be a Phillie.

And barring a trade at any point (which, by the way, Turner can veto due to a full no-trade clause), he’ll be one for the next 11 years.

On this episode of the Phillies Nation Podcast, Ty Daubert and Nathan Ackerman discuss the massive $300 million deal, which lands the Phillies their most highly coveted shortstop in this loaded free-agent class, reunites Turner with Bryce Harper and gives the Phillies one of the best lineups (if not the best lineup) in baseball. They break down that lineup, the similarities between Turner and Harper’s contracts (and what it means for the team’s future), the club’s success in signing their top free agent targets the last few years and plenty more.
