Watch: Trea Turner ties game with improbable ninth-inning home run

Trea Turner’s soundtrack as he walked to the plate with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning included a fan in the Hall of Fame club screaming “You’re a bust!” as the former All-Star looked to avoid going 0-for-5.

In his prior at-bat, Turner swung at two consecutive pitches completely out of the zone to finish of a strikeout, eliciting boos from more than just the one fan in the Hall of Fame Club:

Perhaps Turner simply guessed right his fifth time around, but he took the first pitch that Scott McGough threw to him and deposited it into the left-field stands, tying the game:

The home run ultimately forced extra innings in Wednesday’s matinee.
