This week, all four MLB Wild Card Series will air across NBC, NBC Sports Network, and the streaming service Peacock, marking the first time the network has broadcast postseason baseball since the 2000 ALCS.
And when Phillies fans tune in on Tuesday at 2 p.m. to watch the Phillies take on Atlanta at Truist Park, they’ll hear a familiar voice in the TV booth.
John Kruk has been named an analyst for NBC’s broadcasts of the Phillies – Braves Wild Card Series. This follows a pattern observed by NBC’s Sunday Night Baseball this season of having one color commentator from each team join the national broadcast crew.
Representing Atlanta in the booth will be C.J. Nitkowski, a former pitcher who has served as an analyst on Braves broadcasts since 2024.
Meanwhile, Matt Vasgersian will provide the play-by-play commentary for the series. Rounding out the broadcast team are reporter Ashley ShahAhmadi, along with former MLB All-Star Joey Votto, who will serve as the series’ “Inside the Pitch” analyst from the dugout.
The first two games of the Phillies – Braves Wild Card Series will air Tuesday and Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET on both NBC and Peacock. If the series requires a deciding third game, it will air Thursday on NBC and Peacock, but the start time will depend on which other Wild Card Series have already concluded.
