The Phillies are welcoming in the Pittsburgh Pirates to Citizens Bank Park for Game 1 of the On Deck Series to get everyone geared up for Opening Day.  Roy Oswalt will take the mound for the Phillies with J. C. Romero and Ryan Madson also scheduled to pitch.

This is the first time Oswalt has been on the mound since taking a line drive to the neck off the bat of Manny Ramirez.

The Phillies finished off the Grapefruit League tied for the most wins (20) with the Colorado Rockies.  The World Champion Giants finished last Spring Training with the most wins as well.  It’s a pseudo-fun, but otherwise worthless, fact.

Phillies: Victorino CF, Castillo 2B, Rollins SS, Howard 1B, Ibanez LF, Francisco RF, Orr 3B, Ruiz C, Oswalt P

GO PHILLIES!

Lets go Phillies. Someone tell me what that new scoreboard looks like!

Daily News Live wants Luis Castillo at leadoff?! I see the argument, he makes pitchers work with that slap hit. But I’m going to opening day and J-Roll better be leadoff.

Don’t get your hopes up, Rollins will likely be batting 3rd, behind Vic and Castillo.
