A Note for Tonight:

Hey, it’s Mike Trout! He’ll make his CBP debut tonight, bringin’ it back to the hometown (almost). Lets not only keep an eye on Trout, but on Albert Pujols as well. He’s made a nice comeback this season after dealing with foot injuries.

And hello again, Raul Ibanez. He’s back for the first time since leaving after the 2011 season. The 41-year-old is struggling. He’s hitting just .139 this season and his job is in jeopardy.

This is a very good test for the Phillies because they’ve been downright awful in interleague play recently.

Revere CF / Rollins SS / Utley 2B / Howard 1B / Byrd RF / Brown LF / Ruiz C / Asche 3B / Lee P

Revere is just a bad CF’er.. Just bad.. Nice play by Byrd to move Revere out of the way.

    Why must we endure Asche

Last week, he hits a grand slam to tie the game. Yesterday, he had a double to tie the game. Today, he had a complete meltdown in the field. Based on his performance last year and early this year, Asche is still the best option at 3rd base for this team. Bad games are a part of being a baseball player. If Galvis had worked out at 3rd base and had hit, then you had an option. I don’t think Cesar Hernandez has been at 3rd base long enough to be an every day player there.

Remember Dominic Brown in 2011. Would the Phillies organization have been better off sticking with Brown or trading for Pence?
